Good, but take a map and compass!
The walks in this book are interesting and reasonably varied. The terrain and distance indicators are accurate. However, there are a few places on the walks where one could get lost without a map. Sometimes the footpaths mentioned seem to be non-existent. In fairness, the author does recommend using the book in conjunction with a map and, if you do, it is fairly easy to get back on track if you get a little lost. The best parts of the book are, without doubt, the features that the author highlights on each walk - for example, when and why certain buildings were erected, who lived in them, and so on (I didn't realise there used to be a whaling station at Sea Mills!) These make the walks really enjoyable.Another good feature is the size of the book - it fits nicely into the pocket of my walking trousers.
