Giantex Portable Washing Machine, 20lbs Capasity, 12lbs Washer and 8lbs Spinner
Ok, I'm just saying this is a nice washing machine. I live in a small apartment and this works perfectly for me. the washer is strong, the spin cycle is amazing and it almost dries perfectly. this is perfect for a dorm. The videos I've seen are right on point. Only thing I did was put it in the shower because the cords was to short to reach the faucet. I've washed everything in this and two comforters so far; except jeans. in my opinion if your gonna do jeans you might can get four pair in the washer and two in the spin cycle. Ok, that's all I got so enjoy.

Impressive performance for the price!
I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but this washer really impressed me... I used it the day after I received it, It’s lightweight, compact, and perfect for small spaces. The material feels sturdy and of good quality, definitely built to last. The spin cycle is powerful and leaves clothes nearly dry, which cuts down drying time. It runs quietly, and I haven’t had any issues with leakage, everything stays clean and dry around it. Overall, it’s efficient, easy to use, and feels like a solid investment. Great value for the money!

This was a great washer and dryer...lasted more than a year...
I bought this in 2018. I used it through 2019 and it was just great. I put it in my bathtub to wash clothes. It's now 2020 and I broke it. My drain stopper was set on the sill of the bathtub, and I forgot that I was filling the washer part with water (I put the handheld shower head in the washer and leave it for 2 and a half minutes). This time, I forgot about it. Also, somehow the bathtub drain stopper fell off the sill and onto the drain, stopping the bathwater from draining, which led to the tub filling up with about 6-12" of water. The washer/dryer unit was submerged in nearly a foot of water. After draining the tub, neither the washer or dryer spun. It was a good washer/dryer unit and served me well for over a year. To spin the clothes and rinse them, I never managed to fasten a hose to the unit and to a water output. Since I had the unit in the bathtub, what I did was this: I fastened the hose to the spin part of the unit. I held the other end of the hose in my left hand and also a funnel. I put the showerhead into the funnel, so that my left hand now holds three things together-- 1. The end of the tube 2. The funnel 3. The showerhead Finally, I start the clothes spinning and start the shower. The water sprays from the showerhead (held in my left hand--actually usually in my right hand once I start the water using my right hand). The water sprays into the funnel and into the hose, which then sprays over the spinning clothes. One thing I did not like was that the dryer stops spinning when you open the lid. I would prefer it to keep spinning (the washer keeps spinning when you lift the lid). If it kept spinning, then I wouldn't need to bother with the funnel/hose hassle. I could just lift the lid and shoot the water from the showerhead from above right onto the clothes. Because the dryer stops spinning when the lid is opened, you must work out a way to run water into the small inlet hole (there is a hose included that fits that inlet hole). Overall, I loved this washer/dryer. The drying/rinsing was decent and the washing was superb.

Ineffective; just an overpriced bucket.
The washer: Decently sized, but the spin is horrible and somehow manages to do nothing but tangle your items. The drainage also sucks, and doesnt get rid of anything except the water. Soap & debris will be left over on your items. Also, the hose they include to connect a sink to fill the washer? Doesnt work. The hose is too small to fit itself over a sink nozzle, and the fastener is a complete joke; it doesnt even look like it could possinly help. You have to put the washer in the shower, and then throw a towel over the knobs to keep them from getting wet and frying the whole thing. For some reason the lint trap is in the washer? It's horrible and does nothing. More on that later. The "dryer": A really fast spin that removes most water, but nowhere near enough. You'll have to hang dry your clothes outdoors in wind to really dry them after the spin, but assuming youve purchased this for a small living space like an apartment, as I did, you dont have outdoor space for that. I had to buy an alternative dryer that I use after the spin, that actually uses heat. Overall: Any lint/dirt/dust/debris that is on your items will not be removed even slightly, not even drained out with the water, but will rather be distributed upon all the items you wash. The spin wont remove anything either, so i suggest buying lint rollers and a de-piller as well. I severely regret this purchase and would much rather go to a laundromat, as you dont realize how important a lint trap really is until you dont have it. Though the size is effective for small spaces, it doesnt come near being described as "washing" clothes. All it does is soak your clothes, then spin some water off. Way too expensive to be this useless.

Really Gets A Load of Laundry Clean and 80% Dry
Due to a situation where my standard washer is hooked up, I needed a portable washer until my standard washer can be used again. I have never owned or used a dual drum type of portable washer before. After watching several videos, I decided I would get one that could be placed in the bathtub. It has been just over a week since I received my Giantex. Sadly, the inlet hose to fill the machine with water is extremely thin and flimsy. However, the electric cord and the machine itself seem nice quality. I am confused that the lint catcher inside the machine does not look like any that I saw on the videos I watched. I use a simple stocking cap on the exterior drain hose to keep lint out of my drain. The agitation in the washer seems powerful and impressive. The spin drum is about half the size as the washer. The spinner is very effective. My waffle weave bathrobe went from heavy and soaking wet to about 80% dry after spinning for 4 minutes. Advice on filling the washer: Using a shower sprayer directly into the machine is a good option. With good water pressure, it should take about 2 minutes to fill the machine. Also, using a sink faucet is a nice option. I bought 2 items on Amazon to do that. Danco Quick Connect Adapter and Fevone 6 foot hose. I am leaving the Danco Adapter on my faucet. When I use the washer, I connect hose to adapter and use other end of the hose directly into the washer. Fill time is about 2 minutes Tips: Use a TINY amount of laundry detergent or the suds will be overwhelming...Wash. Turn machine knob to Drain....Fill again without any detergent to Rinse. BE SURE KNOB IS NOT ON DRAIN.SETTING WHEN FILLING MACHINE TO WASH YOUR LAUNDRY.... Put items in the Spinner. This process has taken about 30-40 minutes per load. I have a second shower rod, about 6 feet long in my shower. It is a simple tension shower rod but I have stainless steel supports holding the rod, much like how a closet rod is held up. This keeps rod from sliding down. I hang laundry, including towels on plastic hangers on this second rod. That way, no water gets on my floor, only in the tub/shower. When my shower curtain is closed, you cannot see the laundry hanging up nor is the second rod visible. Using the Giantex, after washing, rinsing and spinning...even my robe and towels were completely dry within 3 hours.

Essential back-up washer to own, I think a must have!
My large washer broke. I am still struggling to find a comparable replacement that is available. I have a small back-up counter top washer, but it was not adequate for heavier clothes when wet, so I ordered this unit. Amazingly, it came quickly. It has proven that it is capable of washing heavier wet clothes like jeans and sweatshirts. I have to do more smaller loads than I would have to do with my regular washer. It is not automatic in its process to fill, drain, rinse and spin, so I am more involved in this the process and it takes more time. BUT, my clothes have never seemed cleaner! Detergent residue can often cause rashes, so I like to make sure to rinse many items twice. Easy to do manually with this machine, but having a difficult time finding a large automatic washer with the second rinse setting like the one I had (or find one available to buy). This washing machine has been a life saver and and an excellent investment as a back up. Truthfully, I like how it cleans so well, I am likely to continue to use it on small loads and intimate items when (if) I can ever buy a full sized, installed washer.

Gets Clothes Very Clean
It gets clothes very clean but I can only give It 3 stars I had the smaller version of this washing machine same brand the first thing I had to do was take the back off and fix the drain on It, It was just a strap was Not connected but It worked well after that but then a few weeks ago the motor on the spin cycle quit working which Is one of the things I liked about It Is the spin cycle got clothes almost dry enough to Not need a dryer I could put My clothes on wet and Not have some judgmental complaining that I Am wet. I think all appliances should be built like old cars and tell-lie-vision could get parts for them anywhere and was easy to fix so I started to take the washing machine apart and checked It for sure the spin cycle motor went out and It would have Not been an easy fix and Nether did I know where to get parts for It therefore I bought this washing machine about the exact same thing just a little bit bigger maybe this one will last more than 2 years but If You go to Lowes or Home Depot that Is about how long this big brand name washing machines last now days about 2 year Not over 10 years as they used to, that Is why It only gets 3 stars because I also rate how easy Is It to repair.... Here Is a secret I figured out, If You get clothes as dirty as Me might first go to the car wash and clean them but what I found out about this washing machine It can act as an old washboard, Instead of filling the tub up full of Water put the clothe In and turn It on while the clothes are being whipped back and forth take a Garden hoes connected to the hot Water and spray the clothes, this washing machine does Not operate with the drain open so You will have to every few seconds open and close the drain to drain off the dirty Water then fill the tub with Water and wash as normal

Excellent for apartment or trailer.
Perfect for keeping up with your laundry without trekking to the shared laundry facility or launderette. Washes very well and spins almost dry (hang clothes to finish drying). Designed for small, lighter material clothing but can do jeans, sheets, and one blanket. Spinner is 8lb capacity and wash 12lb. but cannot be run at the same time (drain must be open during spin). Time and use will show what weight of clothes gives the best wash - an aggressive agitation during wash tells you the load is correct. - slow movement of the clothes indicates overloading. Drain is gravity so pipe must lay flat below the bottom of the washer - I built a dolly to allow rolling in place and gain height for the pipe to go over the shower stall lip. Manual is weak but says do not use in a bathroom - eh? Where else do you have water and a floor drain?. Water hose is short and needs a MacGyver creation to connect to water supply. Some show using a funnel hanging from the shower head. Power cord is short so you probably need and extension cord - use the shortest possible (12g) and connect only to a GFCI outlet (ground fault). UTube videos help a lot - several show placing it in the bathtub and filling using a jug or bucket. These minor inconveniences are worth overcoming in order to have the bliss of in-home laundry (and saving $$$). Highly recommended.

Perfect for one person
I hate laundromats at the best of times but recently moved to a location without one within an hours drive. I live in a 35' 5th wheel, so space is limited. There was a hook up for a stacking washer and dryer already in the trailer and this washer fits perfectly in the spot. I don't use the hook ups because it drains by gravity. It is light enough I can slide it out of the closet it's in and fill it was the shower head and drain it into the shower. No extension cord needed. I love this washer!! For one person it's perfect. A fraction of the price of a traditional washing machine and gets the job done in record time. By the time it's gone through the spin cycle the clothes are almost dry. I am very pleased with my purchase!! A few tips I have learned. 1. One heavy item per load. 2 pairs of jeans or a heavy blanket; the agitator struggles. 2. Make sure to fill it with enough water or it won't agitate. 3. Make sure it is not set to drain when you fill it. 4. Make sure to hook drain hose on the side of machine and turn dial so not on drain when done or you'll have a mess. 5. 1 minute on spin is usually enough.

Great Little Washing Machine.
I have a very small apartment, and wanted something that I could use, that would save me having to put my laundry in a bag.....putting it in my e-trike, and carting it down to the laundramat where it would cost me anywhere from $15-$20 dollars to do my laundry. I saw this on Amazon.....read the reviews, and decided to give it a go. It's well worth the price, I paid, and it would pay for itself in 10, or so uses. There are a few drawbacks, that were unexpected, but easily oversome. They are:- 1. The spin dryer is not heated. It dries by squeezing water out of the clothes by by pressure of the spinning, so the clothes come out still very damp. 2. It uses gravity to drain the tub, so if you don't have a drain on your floor, you'll need to elevate the washer, and put the hose in a bucket, and make sure that it doesn't overflow. You can stop the washer from draining, so that you can empty the bucket, then continue on. 3. The lint filter is pretty useless. Instead of being on the dryer side, it's in the washing tub, and is very difficult to remove, until you ket the knack of it. I watched a user video on YouTube, and that's where I learned how to remove, and reattach it. 4. The instruction booklet is written in pigeon English, so good luck with that. There are some drawings in it, that help. After reading this review, you would wonder how I could give it such a good rating? In spite of the shortcomings, (which are all minor, and easily overcomable), it is well worth the price. The clothes come out clean, and once you get the hang of it, the washer is very easy to use. I'm got I got this thing.

Truly amazed!
Despite having fabulous reviews, I try to maintain low expectations until I’ve had firsthand experience. It works MUCH better than I hoped it would. At $3 to wash a load, this unit has already paid for itself. 1 - I bought an 8’ piece of cedar decking cut it into 3 32inch pieces & it now lives at the far end of my shower giving me easy access to put water in from the handheld shower head & easy exit for the gravity fed drain. 2 - the wringer is shockingly effective. Wash a pair of jeans at 8 PM & by 6 AM the next morning they are dry. 3 - use less than half the soap you think you need, this will save you from many rinse cycles 4 - the ringer will hold a queen size sheet! Again, pleasantly surprised. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase & confident if/when it dies that I will replace it immediately with another.

The Apartment Flooder
As title suggests the tubing in the inside of the machine, for the drainage is not fastened. Even after looking at the watermarks on the inside, and a packet saying tested, don’t worry if there’s watermarks inside the machine. I felt very confident turning this on. I will admit, it wash the clothes very nicely, but when I went to go use the drain function, it just drained out of the back of the machine. I don’t know if I just got a bad unit but I’ve contacted support and I’m very frustrated. I live above an art gallery and really hope I didn’t flood the lower unit. I’ll figure out tomorrow morning I guess.
