Zildjian 5A DIP Drumsticks

I started drumming again after a long hiatus and was having a terrible problem with sticks slipping out of my hands. I did not want to compromise by using an overly-firm grip that would create a bad habit to undo later when trying to play with finesse, so I decided to try these. The dipped texture really helps a ton! Besides the texture, this is your standard basic Zildjian stick which is not a bad thing, they're pretty consistent. If you are a stick thrower this might not help, but if your problem is sticks that are just slipping from your grip as you try to keep your grip a bit relaxed for nuances, these dipped sticks are a godsend. I've been using them about 5x a week for practicing for a couple months now and the texture had held up fine and kept its grip. Time will tell how long it takes to break down.

I don't know what's going on but these don't feel right. They are VERY light and not at all like the ones I had before. Hope they are not fake.

I'm used to a Firth standard 5B. This felt way too light for me to pull the sound out of the toms. My opinion.

If hands feeling slippery is an issue, these are for you. Have the same surface feel as a brush. Very nice.
