This is Pro High Standard at a Unbeatable Price
This is a beautiful piece of cookware. It is so great that I can not say anything down about it. It cleans up well even after frying chicken, and the size is perfect for a one person, or whole family meal. Get some Bar Tenders Friend to keep the finish perfect, and you have a winning combination. You will also like to get with this WOK the Chef's 13 inch Standard Steamer Insert. This is the perfect combination. You can then steam or stir-fry your way into some wonderful meals. This WOK works well as a soup pot too. I use it on a glass top electric cook stove, or on a gas stove. The heat distribution is excellent. The included good sized dome lid is something you really need, and many other offerings here on Amazon do not have the included lid. Do not hesitate to give this wonderful cookware a try. The seller, which in my purchase was not Amazon Prime, but another Amazon seller that offered free shipping before this item was offered with Prime, was very attentive and wanted to make sure I was very happy. Also, it was cheaper than the Prime price. I really like it.

Excellent, Well Constructed Wok
We had ordered and received the 10.5" Wok with Lid a few days ago. We found it to be extremely well made. Food doesn't stick so easily, even though it has no non-stick coating on it. The "Flat Bottom" is of great help in using it over a stove top. People can buy this with confidence. We have not used it so far on either Induction Stovetop or inside the oven, though. We had initially ordered the 12" model but found it to be extremely heavy - almost unusable on a daily basis with our physical strength. We also thought that it would be difficult to wash in our Kitchen Sink which is relatively smaller in size. Therefore, we returned the 12" (completely unused) and ordered the 10.5" instead. Though the 10.5" is also a bit heavy, it is certainly very much more manageable - both for cooking and for hand washing in the sink space we have. Please note that though it is possible to wash these in the Dishwasher, we have come to know from others that the "shine" deteriorates quite fast if it is regularly cleaned in the Dishwasher. Apparently, it becomes "dull" looking after some time. Therefore, we have decided to go through the extra trouble of washing both the main pan and the lid with dishwashing soap and soft brush, manually ourselves. Let's see how it goes for us. We might update the review after six months of usage. SUGGESTION to MANUFACTURER: In ALL models of such cookware, it is best to put another small holder on the "opposite side" of the main handle. That way, we can use both hands to move it around from one place to another. Handling it would be much easier when it is full with cooked food, and would make it safer too for most people. I know you have that holder in the 12" and the 13" models but not in the 10.5" model. Please seriously consider the addition of the extra holder to the 10.5" model as well, for future buyers. Thanks.

Very good for stir-fry cooking with flat-surface stoves
Consider the price, I think this is a very good wok. The dome lid is way much better than most similar-size wok or stir-fry pans in the market. Here I have some tips to share. First, this is stainless steel, so does not need to be "seasoned" like cast iron. Recently some people keep saying that stainless steel pans need to be seasoned. That definitely is wrong. It does not hurt if you do season it by pasting thin layer oil but just not necessary. Second, I see some users have problems of burning stains. Easy! Just boil water and it can be removed. If you are running hard water in your house, you will also need to use citric acid to remove those calcium or other metal oxides condensed on it. Vinegar can do the same thing but I personally recommend citric acid since it is way much more efficient. Also, citric acid does not smell bad like vinegar. A bag of citric acid is not expensive (please buy high purity for food use, not for industry use) and can be used for years. Vinegar and citric acid in boil water is very strong and can remove all those stains and metal oxides. I do a lot stir-fry. I have been using this wok almost everyday for 9 months. I clean it this way and it still goes shiny (not as shiny as just manufactured, but it definitely is beautiful). If it does get rusted, it means the stainless steel coating is broken and has to be replaced (harmful for your health!). Usually this happens on those deep scratched spots. If it is just burning stain and calcium oxide condensation due to hard water... no problem at all! I attached two photos showing before and after hot citric acid solution and soap wash. If you do want a stainless steel kitchenware that is super strong and does not get scratched and non-stick at all, you should go much higher level... probably hundreds or even thousands dollars more expensive than this item. For household use, I believe this is good enough if you do clean it this way. I hope everyone enjoy using stainless steel kitchenware!

Quality and a good price!
I received this pan yesterday and cooked my first stir fry in it. First off, the appearance and build quality is excellent and the size and weight are great for our purposes. It’s a real value and should last a long time. The stir fry dish I cooked turned out good, however there was some sticking, but cleaned up fairly easy. We get the same thing with our All-Clad fry pan, I think it’s just how Stainless is.... they are simply not the same as non-stick. As long as they clean up with little effort, I’m ok with some sticking. It’s a well built and a quality pan at a good price. Very satisfied!

Excellent RISOTTO pan, not a "wok".
I just realized that I've had this one for a while and haven't yet reviewed it. So here goes. I own almost all of the pots/skillets from this Cooks Standard line and I've given them all 5-star reviews. IMO they are on par or better than All Clad (same quality, but better looks and handle shapes, love the easy-pour edge). I also have a couple of smaller tri-ply pots by Le Creuset, which look nicer than AllClad, but I still prefer the look of Cooks Standard. I should mention that I'm not a snob bent on showing off expensive gear, but I do have a sense of aesthetics and Cooks Standard looks nice without looking snobby. This line was designed and produced by some very smart people, with great attention to detail. I've had all of mine for 2+ years (with regular dishwasher washings) and they still all look like new. At first I had everything, except this large "wok". Well, I ended up getting it too. I LOVE it. However, I knew that this is not a true "wok". I got it to use as a large saucier - excellent for tossing pasta with a sauce, preparing mac-and-cheese before pouring into a baking dish or making a huge amount of couscous. And RISOTTO! This is THE vehicle for RISOTTO :) I have taken couscous in it to a party and friends have commented that the pot looks like a work of art. And you could also easily use it for braising, pot roast, etc. I just prefer to use the 8qt. soup pot for that. NOT A "WOK". I did try a stir-fry in it and it is NOT a wok. A wok is made of thin carbon steel. Period. It's probably also conceivable to have a cast iron or clay/ceramic wok, but that's it. And you need a really high BTU burner for proper woking. It's a totally separate technique and gear. I know it's misleading to have this pan labeled a wok, but it doesn't say "wok" on the box it comes in. It is not labeled so by the manufacturer and I think it's really just descriptive of the shape. Anyone looking to do true woking will not be misled with this. It is still a great vessel.

Cooks Wok w/ Dom lid will become a favorite for you too.
This wok is all that it was advertised to be. We were looking for a stainless multi clad wok with a dome lid and this fits the bill for us. The Amazon supplier sent the wok out direct to us and we had it in less than the promised time. Will do business with them again and Amazon's supplier offered best price on line at the time I placed my order. We thoroughly researched the options available in March 2014 on the net. We have had it about a month and use it several times a week and we feel the quality is very high but time and use will bear that out. The long handle and short handle are great to have when the pan is loaded with a lot of food. The dome lid is very beneficial in cooking many dishes by reducing over splatter of oil and vegetables but especially helpful in popping of popcorn. We use both quality canola and peanut cooking oil whichever is on hand for the popcorn on low to medium low heat. We use a good quality EVOO for almost everything else. We have found that this wok cooks very evenly with all Canola, Peanut and EVO oils. We use gas and it works extremely well on low heat but you can crank the heat up if need to for meats to seal in the juices. We find that it cleans up with minimal effort and recommend you consider Bar Keepers Friend powder to clean the most stubborn of cooked on grease and food off. Try it and you can be the judge.

Fast & Efficient
This has become my favorite way to prepare my food. It cooks my vegetables, mushrooms, and greens quickly, much more efficiently than my other large skillets. It is a top-grade, heavy weight wok which I imagine I will get years of use from. I use it several times a week and I am impressed every time with how much faster I can prepare my nutritious and delicious meals. I was also impressed with the quality of the wok's construction. My only challenge was finding a place to store it in-between uses. It is large and has a long handle. If you are looking for a top quality wok I can highly recommend this one. Update 2018: I have been using this regularly for the past 2 years and it is my primary, go-to pan for preparing all my cooked meals. I am still impressed with how quickly it cooks and how much more vitality there still is in the foods than when I use a regular pot or pan. I don't know if it has to do with the shape of the wok or what. Also it work perfectly whether I am only cooking a small amount in the bottom of the wok or I have it filled to the brim. I have decided to buy another one of these Cooks Standard Woks to keep at the Rancho so that I don't have to keep moving it back and forth.

EXCELLENT PAN FOR NEARLY EVERYTHING!
This item is amazing! Professional weight and handling. The photo doesn't really do it justice so I posted a few photos here for everyone. It appears much bigger in real life than in the photo and the bottom doesn't seem as angled in real life as the photo appears which is fine for me. The interior bottom of the pan has a gentle change of angle and is softly rounded, not like the photo. This gentle angle allows for the heat to spread evenly so you can overload the pan and the food along the sides will cook as evenly as the food at the bottom. It is much shinier in real life, highly polished stainless steel and the photo doesn't do the real pan justice. I made stir fry with the pan on my first use. I only used a canola oil pan spray and did not use any liquid oil so the meal is low fat. I show in the photos that the bottom of the pan does not have any oil and yet everything came out perfect! Handles well and the extra grab handle on the opposite side is perfect. The lid is extremely deep as is the pan. In a regular store, this item would probably over $120 where we live. So glad I got it on Amazon!
