New take of who, what, and why regarding the Oak Island money pit.
Another theory of what is at the bottom of the money pit on Oak Island; who put it there; and why they never retrieved it. This theory is as good as any other and better than a lot of earlier guesses, but it still leaves unanswered questions. Among them is why the original buriers felt it necessary to dig down to bedrock to leave their treasure, and why none of the people involved ever went public in their later years to talk about it. Considering the number of laborers that must have been involved in this enterprise, it would seem like at least one of them would have told a friend or relative what they had buried and why. One new theory included is that the original buriers DID go back and try to retrieve the contents of the pit and were just as surprised as later treasure hunters when they found water in the pit. They weren't able to solve the water problem any more than the dozens of expeditions that have tried since, and then decided to make it impossible for anyone else to get to the bottom of the pit by digging an additional flood channel. That they should go to that additional effort seems a bit far fetched, but still an interesting theory and a decent read.

Very, very well written! Makes a strong case for the author's theory of the treasure on Oak Island, how it came to be buried there, who buried it, why, where it came from, how much it may be worth & why it was never recovered by those that buried it. Explains in great detail the British Military's role in the treasure & ties everything together in a logical timeline.A Great read!

Great explanation of how they did it....
This is a fascinating book written by engineers who detail how the massive project could be done. I'm a Curse of Oak Island junky, and I believe Rick had this book in the war room in season 4 episode 14 when he selected the location of GAL-1. The idea of British involvement correlates to the British coins and buttons found on the island in season 4. Unfortunately, this book seems continually unavailable, so I bought it electronically at another site. However, an e-reader version doesn't do it justice because of all the figures involved, and therefore I recommend the print version. Worth the money!

best oak island book yet
Book starts out with the usual ho hum same old tale in the first few chapters. As the story progresses and with the authors having done abundant research they present a compelling case. Taking a new look with new facts they present data that has never before been published. I have every copy of every book ever written about Oak Island including Oak Island Enigma along with numerous stories written in periodicals over the years. I would rate this book as the most informative on this subject to date.
