Flip Key Fob Case Replacement Fits for Chevy Cruze Malibu Equinox Sonic Impala

Perfect replacement for my old remote. A little hard to get the old one apart but after a while I got it switched over it it works great!

I had to modify the case to get the factory key to work. The key pivot insert supplied with the case does not work with the factory key. The indexing slots for the key pivot had to be ground out to work with the factory key pivot. The factory circuit board did fit and after modifying, i was able to get them to work.

This is a quality product. The only thing that differentiates this product from my OEM key fob is that it has no make logo. I purchased this product because I have a broken button on my existing key fob. After looking at videos describing the replacement process, I decided that replacing the key fob case was the most cost-effective solution. However, I cannot take my existing key fob apart because the top component is attached with a screw that is covered by the car make logo, which I can't remove. If you can't take your existing key fob apart, you may want to consider a different solution. If you can take your existing key fob apart, this is a good choice.

Good item for the price. Key fob responds well to the motherboard, however installing the actual key is quite challenging. Turning the spring two rotations doesn't provide enough force to extract the key properly, and turning three rotations caused the key to be unable to lock in a closed position. If you're okay with either physically extracting your key or having a key that can't retract, then I would recommend this product, particularly based on the affordable price.

I got this to work though it was a gamble this was the only working key for are 2011 equinox. This took me 2 hrs kind of a pain in the keyster the head of the key part is cut a bit differently and the plastic part it rotates on so the key can flip out and also go back into its (put away) or lock position is molded differently, so I had to punch out the very small pin to switch out the blank key and the cut key. I'm a maintenance mechanic by trade and wouldn't recommend this to a D.I.Y. 'er Frustration level 1-10 was a solid 8 Good luck to any who tries to accomplish this

Looks great board fits I think but key is not quite the same the pin in the original key does not work with the shell and the pin that comes with the unit does not fit the original key. Still working on a solution because I had to break the case on the original to get it apart. I think I can make changes by trimming some plastic but if that does not work I may tweak the pin. Would only recommend if someone was going to pay to have the blank key provided with unit cut. Does not fit would not recommend if all you plan on doing is moving original over.
