I have a love hate relationship with this thing! It saves me the shame of having another human shave my back. It reaches every area, is sharp, effective, and easy to clear the hair out of. But it’s disorienting af to get all areas while contorting like a Romanian floor gymnast, semi-naked in your bathroom! Every time I’ve used it I’ve had to take an over the shoulder kaleidoscopic mirror selfie to check for coverage, and there’s always patches missed. I always get there in the end, but inevitably decapitate a persistent skin tag and have to wear a plaster for a few days. Getting that on is even harder. The product itself seems expensive, but it is worth the money. The quality is good, the blades are sharp and well protected, the pivot is really helpful, and you’re essentially paying for the ability to self-help. That’s huge. The back scratcher pad thingy seems a bit pointless, but the wee cleaning brush inside is good, and the covers for the blades help. I don’t recommend using it on the tops of your shoulders as the bumpiness mixed with the wide blades usually leads to cuts. Overall, a great thing to have, a monthly dry shave ritual that works, but I never look forward to, and for me, a bloody mess with that masochistic skin tag.

I was very skeptical about this at first, but after using it for the first time, it worked very well. Much better than expected. No irritation on skin and smooth shave. Very good quality, the different angles and blades worked a treat.

Good product if you're a single and want to remove back hair. This helps and leaves back clean and smooth. Blades are pricey but yet to see how often I need to replace. As I didn't try the other model bakblade 2, i can't comment if the higher price of BB3 is worth it.

This is actually a great product. Bought it thinking it’s pricey but it does the job very well. Great design.

I honestly didn’t expect this to give a particularly close shave, but I’ve been really impressed. It’s incredibly simple to use and the results are far better than I anticipated. It gives a surprisingly close, smooth shave with very little effort, even in awkward areas that are usually difficult to reach. The handle design makes it easy to manoeuvre, and it feels much quicker and safer than trying to use a normal razor for back shaving. The blades seem sharp without causing irritation, and the whole thing feels well thought out. Overall, amazing results for such a simple product — definitely one of those items that works much better than you expect it to.

The blades have become rusty after using once. Disappointing

A little sceptical at first especially with the price as others seemed to a lot cheaper but after reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a try. To say the least this is a fantastic product, after getting the hang of it, it gave me the best hair removal apart from waxing without doubt it painful, ideally to start off with use a full length mirror just to make sure you don’t miss anything. Highly recommend it to anyone who prefers smoothness over hair. A good sturdy product with multiple handle positions to make it easier to hold and reach difficult areas

I first purchased the first version bakvlade and now I have the latest version!! Very good all round and it's great you extend the arm so you can get to hard-to-reach places on the back. All very good albeit a little expensive.

Très efficace pour ma part. Il suffit de faire glisser sans appuyer avec le bon angle. Nécessite une prise en main mais les différents réglages permettent d'atteindre chaque recoin. Résultats très probants pour mon dos à la pilosité peu dense.

The back side doubles as a back scrubber, soup it up and you’re lather the back good. Shaving cream too, will not be disappointed. I’m not flexible at all and I’m able to get my whole back

Well designed back shaver with a long reach. I have used this shaver a couple of times - once by just applying water on my back before shaving and the second time while in the shower. This razor blade works best when your back is wet as there is less risk of nicks or cuts from dragging it on dry skin. In both cases, it shaved cleanly with no cuts at all - the first time around, I think I went over the same spot several times, resulting in a bit of razor burn in that spot. The second time around, I shaved a particular area just once or at the most twice and it was perfect. It shaves closer than the mangroomer (I have the older version and it is nearing the end of it's life after 10 years of use), and the reach is much better because of the longer handle. Am not sure how long each blade will last - the comments seem to indicate about 5 uses before one has to replace the blades. I'll probably go back and forth between this one and a new mangroomer only because the latter is faster to use. I'm very happy with this product.
