I think these rods look nice as well as functions nice. We were able to bring them out a couple times this year before the fishing season ends. We might even get another trip in before it gets too cold.They seem to cast nice, we haven't caught any larger fish yet, just some small northerns and some sunnies.

This is a very affordable and budget friendly, two pack of rod and reel combinations for a variety of fishing types. They are very well-made, and the reel securely attaches to the rod without any flex. The reel itself has very smooth action and I’ve used it in both fresh and saltwater with success.This will be a great starter kit for friends or family members that wanted to get into any type of fishing. This would also make a great gift for anyone as well.

My son and I are both pretty amateur/recreational fishermen, but since he's in scouts, we've wanted to become more proficient. These rods are a great combo for lake fishing in the mountains and travel well with the storage bags they come with. The spinning reel runs smoothly and the casting is much easier than the ancient pole my own father passed on to me years ago.These are definitely an interesting design, but since I'm not making a fashion statement while fishing, I don't mind the colorful pattern. The quality of the reel for the price point is pretty much unbeatable, so while these likely will be subject to some abuse as we both handle a learning curve, I'm happy that I didn't invest in something much more expensive when we're just "cutting our teeth" as fishermen. They are easy to set up and operate, and while we haven't caught anything substantial, what fish we have caught were reeled in with ease and the rod handled the wire well.Whether you are just learning or want one for the occasional companion on the lake, these Sougayilang graphite & fiberglass fishing rods are a great value. I recommend this Sougayilang 2-piece Graphite and Fiberglass Rods and Spinning Reel Combos. The price point on these are fantastic, I was able to afford 2 complete Rod and Reels to have on hand for my Grandsons to use when they come to visit on the Lake. These rods have an ultra modern pattern of colors and the Reels are a bright purple. My Grandsons care more about the cool patterns and colors of the Rod and Reel more than they care about fishing. I am hoping that they will gain an appreciation for the outdoors, fishing and hunting after visits with me.That all being said these Sougayilang Rod and Reel Combos are very nice, the reels crank smoothly and the bait casts easily when the line passes through the Stainless Steel Ceramic Guides. The handles at the bottom of the Rods prevent slipping through your hands, so far we haven't had any of those got away fishing rods slipping from their hands and into the Lake to have to fish out like in the past. These Combos are not just for Children but the price makes it easier to let them use them. I enjoyed putting the line on the Reels and fishing awhile with them myself. Sougayilang Fishing Rods and Reels are very well made and affordable. I am looking at some of their higher end Rods and Reels for the future. This was a great purchase, glad we gave them a try.

When I characterize this as a fine choice for children, I definitely do not mean that they are toys. These are not at all like those cheapo closed-face reels and very short plastic rods that are really more like toys than actual fishing tackle. These Sougayilang rod and reel combos are suitable for real fishing, and will do the job with satisfaction to the user. They could also fill in as "loaner" tackle when a friend or visitor has a need.I live very close to the Gulf of Mexico in SW Florida, and can be fishing in less than an hour after leaving my house. As a serious fisherman, I use excellent-quality tackle, so that's my frame of reference. However, my reel costs $109, and my rod is $190, and I don't particularly want to subject that equipment to the abuse and possible breakage that often goes with kids learning to fish. My wife and I have ten grandchildren living in four states. The oldest just turned 13. When our grandchildren visit, fishing is usually on the agenda, and these poles are a perfect balance of usability and price. They are good enough to be satisfying to use, but not so expensive that I will weep if they are broken.For the application I've characterized above, these have my highest recommendation. A pair of matching rod and reel combos that are actually of decent quality for $46 for the pair is pretty much unbeatable.
