Q: What way do the connections fit into the sleeves

If you look inside the plug you will see a metal strip and on the pin at the front of one side you will see a lip.the lip must face the metal strip. You will have to push hard until you hear the pin clip onto strip and it will lock . I hope this helps if not utube has some vidio

Yes, they are the same but it's the way you fit the terminals inside each of the plastic parts . Fit like the palms of your hands touching each other left over right fingers to each wrist. Sounds complicated but obvious if you try terminals together before fitting into plug.

Ideal quick connect / disconnect

These are ideal for quick connect / disconnect for keeping batteries on my older machinery in tip top condition. Connected one to the battery and leave in easily accessible position and just plug battery conditioner in and equipment is always ready to use without flat battery issues.

Caused more damage than good

I've never had to give a negative review on a product but I am thoroughly disappointed with this product, the connection between the negative terminals was so poor it ended up blowing some expesive components.Not only is the connector block unfit for purpose but came with no instructions or reference to where to find fitting instructions.
