He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983) (Vol. 1)

I thought it was time to upgrade my he-man and the masters of the universe DVD collection to blu ray and I wasn’t disappointed. Volume 1 has 65 episodes of the classic cartoon presumably the other 65 are on volume 2 one thing I should point out this is a German release and if you press on the menu play all the episodes you will need to change the language from German to English every time a new episode plays which can be quite repetitive doing it 65 times that being said this is an amazing buy for any masters of the universe fan

A must for every He-Man and the Masters of the Universe fans out there. An absolute stuning of a purchase. The image quality in this is amazing. I was stuck between picking this in dvd or Blu-ray, do yourself a favor and pick the Blu-ray version. Also, (it might help someone) there's English and German audio options and subtitles too. As an American fan, I was prepared to buy Volumes 1 and 2 and a sit on them until I got a region free blu ray player. But something compelled me to pop one of the discs in my American Playstation 5 and see what happened. Low and behold it played! I read somewhere after the fact that apparently 4K ultra HD blu rays are region free, which would explain it...but I dunno if this collection is "ultra HD" or not???? Either way, it plays for me here in the states with no issue, with an English language and subtitle option and it's the best looking/sounding version of MOTU that has ever been put on digital media. If you're a fan of the original series in America and you have a reasonably recent 4K blu-ray player, I say go for it!

I bought this 5-disc set (released by Plaion Pictures, Germany) and it is absolutely STELLAR. The quality of the image is top notch-- and I'm VERY FUSSY about the quality of my blu-rays. I can honestly say they put every effort into giving the fan the best viewing experience possible. Every episode appears to be of equally high quality (see screenshots). The lines are crisp, the backgrounds are beautiful, the colors are consistent while remaining true to how we saw it on TV, and while there is sometimes DNR (digital noise reduction) line loss, we can forgive them for it. The rest of this is perfection! We can only dream of having releases like this for all of our 80s favorites: Beetlejuice, Care Bears, Ghostbusters, etc. If studios are reading this: DO MORE OF THIS. THIS IS WHAT FANS WANT.

Habe den Artikel nur durch Zufall gesehen und direkt gekauft. Ich finde die Episodenauswahl übersichtlicher als auf früheren Blurays, weil sie auf 5 Disks aufgeteilt sind und bei 21 Episoden ist die VHS Synchro mit drauf, die ich einfach nur legendär gut finde. Werde mir die nächste Sammel Bluray auch holen und ich hoffe dass auch die "new adventures of He-man " und 200X He-man noch raus kommen. Würde mich als Riesenfan darüber freuen.
