I have been dealing with down there issues for almost 2 years. I've tried several Perineal ice packs and they just don't stay cold for long. I teach 30 minute classes and one of these Hilph ice packs lasted my whole class. They are shaped for a woman, which is nice. They freeze really well, I think it's because it has more beads than the usual ones you can buy. They get ice cold pretty quickly as well. They also come with sleeves so you can put the ice packs in. I wear a double panty and place them in between, since I can't have something like the sleeve directly on my incision. It's been providing me relief and I'm happy with that. I would recommend these ice packs. I bought these based on a review I read, I hope this review helps you make an informed decisions. Buy them you won't be disappointed. 😃

After having extensive vaginal reconstructive surgery, I was looking for more long-term cooling relief than the perineal cooling packs my hospital provided. Twenty minutes just wasn't enough to suit my needs. These cold packs are my new best friends! I hand washed the sleeves in dye-free and scent-free soap, then air dryed them. While I waited for them to dry, I placed the cold packs in the freezer. After a short wait, sweet sweet relief! They weren't too cold. They weren't hard and bumpy. They were absolute perfection. Since they are packed with gel beads, they form to your body's contours. Thankfully, I ordered two sets and just switch them out, as needed. I definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a similar surgery or for postpartum care. I would've loved these after I had my babies......just amazing!!! Don't hesitate to buy them.

I love the ice pack! I have not used it for postnatal but I was advised to use something now since I am very sensitive down there, swollen, and after getting checked at 38 weeks it definitely did not help. Using the ice pack was definitely a relief to the pain or discomfort I was in. I will say the product is perfect if you are going to use it for 10-15 minutes even though you're advised to use it for 20 minutes at a time. The ice pack thaws pretty fast in my opinion so for me there was no way of using it longer than 20 minutes.

I bought 2 sets for a labiaplasty recovery. The covers are very soft and machine wash well. They are just the right size and very comfortable. They remained flexible when frozen and lasted a good amount of time before they needed to be switched for a new one from the freezer. They made my recovery go very well. I highly recommend these and can be used for headaches or body pain too.

The reason why I’m giving this 3 stars instead of 5 is because the beads start to “disappear” after a bit. I bought these about 2 months ago and I use one for cold and one for hot. I warm up the “hot” one for 30 seconds at a time in the microwave and I never warm it up past 40 seconds total. The beads start to explode! And it’s just irritating because it loses its volume inside when they do that. And the “cold” one has been shrinking in size on volume as well. Honestly, they aren’t awful for short term use but for longer than a month don’t count on them being “amazing” anymore. I mainly use them for my breasts since I breastfeed and didn’t need them for after delivery down there. But it’s definitely a cheaper option if you’re okay with it than prepping “cold pads” or buying them constantly.

Delivery was on time. I said the product exceeded my expectations - here is why: 1) I've ordered several different type of these pads from different companies, for a condition I have called, Lichen Sclerosus. It's a horribly painful condition. During flare up, it also causes extreme itching and pain - that is almost unbearable. Cold compresses help a lot. This product froze quickly, and stayed frozen longer. 2) It came with an instruction paper (SO UNUSUAL!) 3) It came with 2 extra covers (WONDERFUL) 4) It came with a plastic bag you could slip the frozen pack into so that you could sit on that, and not get your underwear wet as the pad thawed. 5) they seem very well made (but time will tell) They are the perfect length and width. I just rec'd these today and immediately froze them and then used one. As I said, I have other products like these - but I like these best and I especially like this company who took the time to include instructions, extra pocket covers, and the plastic bag. Because of these things - I will continue to use this company and plan to order a new set of these to have on hand.

This was one of the most helpful products I have purchased on Amazon! I used the gelpacks for postoperative comfort after perineal surgery. The soft washable sleeves are perfect and gelpacks placed in freezer are so much more comfortable than any other form of cold pack. They can also be used for warmth in microwave but I did not use them for that purpose. Another good feature is placement of a gelpack in your panties during postoperative period or post childbirth and also for those who suffer from hemorrhoids. Highly recommend!
