Appears Fairly Sturdy
I received the product, but was missing a few of the plastic pieces. The manufacturer was very responsive andsent me an entire new ladder and allowed me to keep the original. I assembled the ladder and it is fairly sturdy. I saw a video review saying the ladder was flimsy, but the cost to manufacture thick steel rails would be substantial. Plus, in that review it appears the ladder was not touching the bottom of the pool, so of course it will wobble. For an above ground pool in my backyard the ladder is more than adequate.

Using with Intex 12 by 24 by 52
For the price the quality is acceptable . I'm 220 lb it feels very stable... the ladder that comes with the Intex pool scares The Living Daylights out of me, and I'm a construction worker... I don't fear a 40 foot extension ladder... I built a deck 2 inches above the pool ...this ladder is completely adjustable by cutting the top of the stainless steel tubes, where it goes in the fittings ...I upgraded to the steel fittings you might want to drill a hole into the top of the tube for the bolt from the steel fittings to go through the handles as opposed to compress and bent them..Also I found by cutting the top a little short the ladder leans towards the deck ....making it much nicer to get in and out of the pool instead of climbing straight up a ladderA rubber mallet is very helpful when installing the steps the screws have a difficult time finding their way through...It took 10 minutes to build 20 minutes to installThere are two round balls that go on the bottom, in the pool of the stainless steel tubes I would recommend epoxying them to the tubes,,, just go to Home Depot get the 5-minute two-part epoxy and slather it around the balls before you tap them on with a malletThat way if they ever pop off,,, the tube doesn't hit the bottom of the pool and puncture it... very importantDo not epoxy the round Balls to the bottom step as it needs to Pivot to match the bottom of the poolVery happy with the ladder makes it a hundred times easier to get in and out of the poolwhen adding shock add a little bit extra around the pool ladder it seems too slow water flow around it there for more algae..I also bought the little blue mat that goes under it ..it gives me security as to not rub the bottom of the pool in damage it slides around every week or two but takes 4 seconds to readjust

Above ground Pool Ladder
This pool ladder works perfect attached to the pool deck. Very easy to get in and out. Very good quality.

A good ladder but..
Actually it seems to be a very good ladder, but there were a couple of important parts missing so assembly was unnecessarily difficult..1. The screws to screw the flanges/sockets to the deck were missing.2. Per instructions, the flanges are supposed to be slipped over the stainless tubes with setscrews. First off, no setscrews. Second it was a very tight fit between flange and tube. Managed to hammer them on but could have easily deformed the tubes in the process.3. Per instructions you need to drill two 1-1/2" holes through the deck for the tubes to slide into. No problem if you happen to have the right tools on hand, but most folks don't happen to have that sort of stuff available.Other than that i't a good ladder, probably better than most out there. Price was good also.

Assembly is a nightmare
I will now engage "cranky old man" mode, and I'm not even that old..... I'd like to find out who is in charge of quality control for this ladder and fly out to their house and watch them try to assemble it. 4 steps and 8 screws. Easy right? Nope. The instructions said to use some oil, but that by itself did nothing. The holes in the plastic ladders are way too small. I had to try to file them down and the inner lip inside the step would still get caught. So after repeated filings, lots of silicon grease and then me dancing the Wastusi up on the pool deck with the ladder as my partner I was eventually able to get it together after about 2 hours. Probably one of my neighbors is posting a video of that to YouTube right now. I figured I was done, but that was wishful thinking. One side of each step doesn't have enough clearance for the provided washer (but the other side does?)... So I need to go out and get some smaller diameter washers that will work. I haven't put it in the pool yet, but I'm guessing the bottom step will probably give me trouble staying in place. If it doesn't, it'll be the first part of this project that works properly.

Would recommend
So far, I really like the way they look, although a bit narrow. I can’t speak on how sturdy they are yet, as we just opened the pool for the season and it’s too cold to get in. The stairs do not float, which is relieving! Ours did not come with the plastic flanges like they state are in the package. I ended up buying metal flanges which I think will hold up better anyway. They aren’t the easiest to assemble, but manageable. Great value for the price

Great Ladder
Honestly, there were a couple of holes that didn't line up completely, but you just have to muscle it into place a little bit, really not a big deal. Once it's in, it is pretty sturdy, we had some people that weighed quite a bit more than the advertised weight load with no issue. Really great ladder. The bottom does come off easily, but if you install it correctly - that shouldn't be an issue, because it should sit flush on the floor of the pool.
