Made from Aluminium. Ideal for picking up litter, cans, bottles, wastepaper etc. 2 metre long litterpicker, ideal for hard to reach areas, such as litter in trees, roofs, waterways etc. Manufactured from rigid 3/4" aluminium tube, which enables a reasonable weight of litter to be lifted even at 2.0 metre length without flexing. The operating mechanism is a direct aluminium plate connecting rod rather than a cable which means grip is real feel, unlike stetch with cable or cord. The operational lever is similar to squeezing a bicycle brake lever, therefore, ambidextrous, right or left handed, enabling the free hand to support the length of the litterpicker. Both pincers rotate to give equi-pressure on item being lifted for better grip and the design means that very accurate litter picking is achievable on very small pieces of litter. The shaft material is conductive therefore it should not be used near electrics or overhead cables

Does most litter Picking jobs
It is ideal for getting rubbish from under bushes. Tried to us it to retrieve rubbish from a dyke, OK for tin cans etc but no good removing other objects when wet as they will be too heavy and the hand will not take the weight. Bought it for our village litter Picking group.

Buy but not from this seller
I'm having to amend this review because mine became defective after a couple of uses and the seller refused to help me. Amazon had to refund me under their a-z guarantee. You can buy this item cheaper elsewhere so avoid this seller.Really well made. I needed this to clean an area of dock water for which I needed extra reach. This didn't disappoint. It was put through its paces pulling water logged plastic, including large bags and bottles full of water; glass and cardboard from the water. My hand did start to ache doing it for so long due to the squeeze action trigger, but it did the job well. I even managed to pick up tiny wrappers. Would recommend.

Really useful litter picker
Good product. Bought to get litter from ditches and hedges in our locality and works a treat. Been using it about 6weeks now and very happy with it.
