Humax YouView Remote Control for DTR-T1000/DTR-1010

It works exactly as my old version. A couple of the buttons are slightly smaller, but fine to use. The quality is good and will withstand being dropped a number of times. Should this fail in a few years I would buy another, thus I can recommend this remote control.

Buttons to small

This is very obviously a knock-off - it is much lighter than the Humax original, the buttons are stiffer to press, the battery cover is not tethered to the handset, and the box it came in is also a give-away. Whilst it appears to work OK (had it two weeks) I am surprised that Amazon are happy to allow knock-offs to be marketed like this - the listing looked very much as though it was original equipment. Overall - yes, it works, but it's not up to OEM quality and who knows how long it will last.

I was a bit sceptical after reading some the reviews but thought I would take a chance ,I’m glad I didThe remote is identical to the humax original,the weight is the same at 113 gms without batteries,the battery flap has a retaining strap same as original,all the buttons work the same and I would add the range is better than my original as even when working you had to point square on to the box to get a response,the new one seems to work when sitting on the table angled away from the box,much easier to zip through the adverts ,all in all I’m very happy with my purchase

I was so impressed with the price of first one I ordered that ordered a second one as a spare.

This is the 3rd one of these that I've bought recently. I have 2 Humax boxes where the original remote controls stopped working properly. I bought the first about 4 months ago, and as it seemed to work OK, I bought a 2nd one.The 2nd one was DOA, so returned it to Amazon and bought the 3rd. It worked for 4 weeks, then failed also. And now the first one has failed too - I still have a flaky original remote which mostly works, so I know it's not the recorder.Going to order 2 genuine remotes direct from Humax - might be more expensive, but there's a good chance they might actually do the job. Best to avoid these cheap imports!

Some of the most used buttons on my original remote stopped working. This remote was offered at a good price and the item arrived quickly and was well packaged.It needs "resetting" to pair it with a YouView box. The instructions that came with it did not cover this, but are available on the YouView website and are probably in the original information.As soon as the pairing procedure was carried out it had all the YouView functions of the original. The only thing that I can't get it to do at the moment is control the TV volume ( which the old one could do when a code was inserted ).

This the second 'You View Remote Control' that we have purchased in three years and suspect that the first one falls short of your expectations? This one seems to be considerably better from the start. and we were well pleased with the ordering process and the excellent delivery time. Whether it becomes good value for money only time will tell.
