Wonderful Value in a Pot
This pot is a wonderful value. The build quality of pot, strainer and top is nice. It is easy to clean and cooks both pastas and soups well. I am very glad with this purchase.

Attractive Pasta Pot
I bought this primarily as a pot dedicated for stock making for my home pressure canning recipes, but yep, it also shines brightly as a smaller pasta pot. The 6 quart size is perfect for my needs. I love the pot design, looks great on the stove.

Why didn't I listen???
I did a lot of research before buying this pot. Money wasn't an issue but I still wanted to be practical. I steered away from all the cheaper pots (I saw a 12qt one at Walmart for around $15 and plenty online around $30). I had concerns about "cheap" stainless steel. Almost all of the pots had issues with pitting according to their reviews. I also wanted a smaller one than the standard 12qt because of storage issues. This Cuisinart seemed to fit the bill. Despite other negative comments I ordered one. I've hated it since day one! Despite the smaller size it's too big to store anywhere. Too big to store but can't handle a couple of large ears of corn (yes, they are big ears). I usually have to cut them down. Takes forever to heat up, I might as well have a pot deep enough to handle spaghetti. The size was irritating but even worse- it had small white "dots" covering the bottom after the second use that I couldn't get clean. Those white dots soon turned to rust. What kind of "metal" is leaching into my food everytime I use this? I expected much better from Cuisinart. I've had Cuisinart pans in the past that held up very well. This pot IS NOT THE SAME! I might as well have bought one of those no name pots made in China. Lastly, the design causes boiling water to "spit out" everywhere. Forget keeping the lid on. Another reviewer mentioned this design flaw. As I tend to be somewhat of a slob when cooking a little extra mess didn't scare me away. But it's a lot of water, EVERYWHERE. Removing burned, white water/salt residue from a black stovetop is nobody's idea of fun. I kept it believing it was the best I could find but I couldn't stand cooking in this POS another day. Went to Walmart and bought the cheap one I saw when I started this quest. Lesson learned :(

C++ iSTILL{{HEART}} CUISINART Cookware! CuisinartContourStainless 6-Quart, 3-PiecePastaPotwithCover
Our/My(jj) Swedish-Miss / Mrswhiteness- review in short for the Cuisinart Contour Stainless 6-Quart, 3-Piece Pasta Pot with CoverAlthough today's cookware/ovenware sets don't stand up to those of days goneby /(so, no this isn't your triple-great grandmother's favorite cookware set, anymore...), but Cuisinart has consistently given consumers beautiful stovetop cookware that you want to maintain for years to come. I have been looking for the 8quart Pasta Pot set, and have a small 4quart one that is great for small servings of noodles and pastas, but have been pining for the Cuisinart ones, but could only find the larger 12quart one, prior to this, but jumped at the chance when the 6quart was made available at such a great price.I really like the size and the overall look and the best part is I didn't have to keep looking high and low all over the green earth to find this thing sold separately from the set as I love my set, but like to augment with individual additional pieces, but I like the look of them in my cupboards so much that I may purchase another set anyways.Overall great looking pot. They are not as simple to clean as in earlier versions, but a little barkeeper'sfriend and elbow grease, once a year or so, as needed, will keep your stainless cookware looking like new! forever!Overall grade: Solid C++plusplus;3.85Stars!

Great product
I bought my pasta cooker a few months ago and really liked the product. It is well made and very easy to use. I liked it so much I bought another one for my sister. We are Italian so pasta is something we east on a regular basis. This company on Amazon sent my pot quickly. I am very happy with the entire experience.

Cuisinart Contour Stainless 6 Quart Pasta Pot
I had purchased the cookware set for my induction cooktop. It worked beautifully. I expected that this matching pasta pot would work the same. It did not work. It must have been that it was aluminum encased in stainless steel. I think the seller should have stated that it was not for induction. Shame on Cuisinart for changing the composit of this pasta pot and not telling anyone!

Sturdy. Beautiful. Well designed. All 3 pieces fit snugly well together.
This is a beautiful pot. I use it for making bone broth. Just put the chicken carcasses and vegetable scraps in the top of the sieve part. Fill it with water and let it simmer all day. Afterwards, I just lift the sieve out and place it on a plate to cool so that I can pick the meat off the bones to put back in the main pot with the broth. The remaining carcass and scraps is easily dumped in the garbage and the sieve can just be washed.
