Great tent from slumit. The gobi 3.
We have used our slumit gobi 3 several times now this year and we are more than happy with the quality. Not only is it British made and not some cheaply made product from China, which lacks in quality, it is a fine piece of engineering. The tent is easy to set up and can be set up with just one person in under 5 minutes. Pegging included! The tent is very waterproof unlike some cheap copies from china. It can take abit of a beating from winds, if pegged right and i would advise getting better stronger pegs. The pegs are o.k but if like me you like to camp in the wild a stronger peg helps with getting them.in the rocky, rooty ground... i would not take this tent out in stronger winds abouve 20mph, abouve this wind speed i would find some shelter, like a hedge. There is plenty of space in the gobi 3, even if you are 6ft! The gobi 3 has great ventilation for them warm summer nights. It features a net, inside the tent, at the top, where you can place a phone or tablet to watch films at night. Although i dont think it was made for this, we thought we would try it and it worked for us! There are plenty of pockets inside for lots of things. We mainly use this as a 2 man tent, with big rucksacks, and we keep our rucksacks inside with plenty room to sleep. We have used it as a 3 man also and there is plenty movement area for 3 people. The gobi 3 has the best pack away bag, you can dismantle the tent easy and the big pack away bag makes it easy to get in without the fuss. I would recommend this tent to anyone, as we have done. If you want quality, no fuss unpacking and packing this is the tent for you!

Excellent tent
Had this for about 3 years now. Served me well through multiple festivals. Goes up nice and quick with minimal effort. Packs down just as easy. The bag has plenty of space so you aren't struggling to force it in at all. Kept me nice and dry through some very wet weather. Even survived the mud swamp that was Download 2024. Plenty of space inside for an airbed and supplies. Cannot fault this tent.

Real value for money
As soon as I went onto the Amazon account this tent caught my eye . It was a good price so I bought it . As I was going on camp week after and looking to downsize as finding other tent too big . Found tent quite easy to put up , could have done with dry run to familiarise. Was pleasantly surprised how big it was inside plenty of room . The weather was quite atrocious and the tent took all of it not letting in any rain at all and stood up to the wind . Packing tent was very easy. All in all give it ten out of ten . And the after sales is fantastic, and there's a 3 year limited warranty on it . Highly recommend it .

Excellent instant tent!
I have bought and tried this instant umbrella-like tent. I chose this kind of tent as I am planning a trip where we must set for the night and continue the trip in the morning, and I was worried about the time to set up and take down the tent for just one night. I have a huge 8 people 2 bedroom tent that takes 20-25 minutes with two people to set up, with time-consuming poles, heavy weight and enormous packaging... So, it took me 6 minutes to set this tent (it took time to undo the knots, stretch the cords, and learn to carefully unfold the joints. I think, next time it will take less than 5 minutes (including the pegs in the ground). Well, it is excellent! It has many features that I consider really important. The size is great to fit 3 air mattress that I have. (We will be only two in the tent plus equipment). It has a small porch with two windows to leave shoes, bags, with a ground sheet. The door has two zipper pulls in rubber that are easy to blind touch find them. The porch allows you to leave only the mosquito net so to allow fresh air. It has great air circulation: two triangular air flow on sides, mosquito net on the top allowing respiration carbon dioxide to get out and reduce condensation. Nil insects got in. On both sides there are 5 enormous pockets to put equipment, telephone, chargers, reading material, glasses... (not found in many tents).

Pitching this takes practice, but an excellent choice as a one man (two at a push) tent.
I've had this for a few years now and have used it many times. The first time I used it I could not get it to pop up at all and had a very embarrassing time on the campsite wrestling with it until people came to my rescue. Then it was a group of us all fighting with it! I ended watching videos on how to pitch this and practicing in the garden before finally getting the knack. It can feel quite heavy and require a bit of muscle sometimes, and other times it just pops into place. I use this tent on my own and find it spacious for one person. I have used a double air mattress in it a few times which takes up the majority of the length of the inside of the tent but leaves a strip of space along the width for other bags etc. Using this tent as a couple would be ok. Using it as two single friends would mean very little room to manoeuvre with two sets of bags and stuff. Using this as three people would be far too close for comfort and your bags would have to be elsewhere. The front porch is very small and the sides don't reach the ground which means that rain gets in and any shoes left there will get wet. Slumit do sell a separate porch extender for this model which makes a huge difference. When bagged up, the tent is quite heavy and bulky so I only use it at campsites that I have driven to. It's too heavy to hike with. The ventilation is good as it it has peaked side vents which can be collapsed if not needed. The waterproofing is good and has lasted well. I've camped in some awful wet and windy weather and the tent has held up and stayed dry inside the main inner. The only issue is that the colour stops it from being noticeable in the dark - it almost disappears. Overall, I really recommend this tent as a comfortable one man tent for when you have transport.

Totally waterproof!! 10/10.
5 stars because, it's so easy to assemble/unassemble. It is totally waterproof and windproof. It is well ventilated, no condensation whatsoever. They have thought of everything a tent needs to be and have inside and out. The porch area is fantastic + windows! It's beautifully made and looks very expensive. The first night we camped out, I didn't check the forcast for that night and it was torrential rain and strong wind. We enjoyed listening to it pelting the tent. Highland rain is no laughing matter but this tent was made for it. Seriously, bone dry and warm! Nice thick ground sheet too. Sturdy frame. Feel safe inside it. This is our third night camping in a row (my daugher loves it) she said this tent is better than sleeping in a hotel! So, there you go. Buy one of these, I promise you will not regret it. Absolutely brilliant!! Wish there were more stars to rate it.

Much better than expected - best tent I’ve owned
I was looking at lots of tents before deciding, ordered another brand but the quality wasn’t very good so went for this one instead. WOW it is good - so easy to pitch (easiest I have ever used) and very simple to pack down and get back in the bag too. Quality of the materials is excellent and feels like it will last a long time. Bigger inside than I thought it would be too. Pop up mechanism is really good.

but it was okay and looks better in reality because the quality shows
I wasn't sure about the brown colour, but it was okay and looks better in reality because the quality shows. It did take me some time at home to figure out how to take it down (i found a video online is better than the instructions in the bag which I think are either incorrect or not easy to understand, implies you have to fold it in half and this didn't work, but placing all corners up to main pole, just like when you first unpack it! It took 3 secs to put up and a few minutes to put poles in the ground. People at campsite commented on how quick it went up. Took it down in 5 minutes at campsite, and didn't have to struggle getting it into its case. It rained non stop for 12 hours one day and we remained dry. Wish the tent was slightly bigger though for my stuff, but it's an awesome tent, good quality seams at very light to carry This product has put the fun back into camping and significantly reduced our time spent setting up and breaking camp, it was almost fun (and showing off haha). I look forward to other products/colours.
