Another Readalicious Hit!!!
We are big fans of Pinkalicious: The Perfectly Pink Collection ! We love all the books in this series! Grab your Madame Alexander, 18" Goldilicious Cloth Doll, Pinkalicious and Storyland Collection , this new book (Silverlicious), and your favorite little princess and settle in for another great read!!! Children make a text to text connection with Pinkalicious and her loose tooth and her love of sweets. They get into the sweet story because they can relate to Pinkalicious and can't imagine how it must feel to think candy is no longer sweet. Pinkalicious turns to the tooth fairy for help when she loses that sweet tooth. She writes her a letter asking her for something sweet and lays awake in hopes to catch a glimpse of the fairy. But like most kiddos, she finally falls asleep and awakes to an unusual surprise... It looks like someone else with wings came to visit and it probably wasn't the tooth fairy. Thus, starts a marvelous journey through a few yummy holidays with Pinkalicious as she tries to get her sweet tooth back. This story ends with a message reminding Pinkalicious and the reader that Sweetness comes from the inside! Once Pinkalicious is Sweet to her brother things begin to change. This book would make a great treat for the tooth fairy to stick under a child's pillow in place of a tooth. It is darling and will be well loved by my princess for years to come.

Our favorite book in the series!
We have all 4 of the large "Pinkalicious" books. This one is by far my most favorite. I wasn't quite happy with Pinkalicious' ("Pink") behavior in the first book - I thought she was a bit bratty. Goldilicious wasn't really that great either. Purplicious was ok, but Silverlicious is awesome!Pink loses her tooth (and she thinks it's her sweet tooth) and writes to the tooth fairy. She tries to stay up but misses the visit. The tooth fairy (Tootheetina) is too busy to come, so she sends Carlos Cupid. When Pink wakes up, her room is decorated like Valentine's Day and he leaves her red hots candy. Pink doesn't like the red hots and complains with another letter asking for something sweeter - a totally ungrateful act. Tootheetina can't come again and she sends more holiday characters to take her place. It's fun to see how Pink's room is decorated when she wakes up each morning. Finally, Tootheetina does show up but teaches Pink that the only way she can get her sweet tooth back is to be sweet herself. So in the end, this is a "sweet" story about how having a sweet and kind disposition is better than being ungrateful and unkind.

The best Pinkalicious book since the original "Pinkalicious"
My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves all of the Pinkalicious series of books (Pinkalicious, Purplicious, Goldalicious and now Silverlicious). Of the first three books my favorite has always been the original Pinkalicious, as it is a good, upbeat story. Purplicious is somewhat spoiled by unpleasant kids who make fun of the title character's love of pink; Goldilicious is cute but has less of an actual story. The new Silverlicious has an interesting story, is happy and positive, and sends a good message about being a sweet person. At the beginning of the story the title character (Pinkalicious Pinkerton) loses a tooth, and it turns out to be her sweet tooth so she cannot enjoy sweet treats anymore. Because her "personal tooth fairy" is busy she gets visits from Cupid, the Easter Bunny, and one of Santa's elves. Her reactions to these visits and the notes she writes to these characters are quite amusing. The book has a satisfying ending where Pinkalicious discovers the real secret of tasting sweet things. This is a great book for young girls (I would say ages about 3 to 7). Boys might well enjoy it too, as the protagonist's brother Peter appears as a major character.

Great Book for Little Girls
If you have a little girl 2-7 years old that loves girly things - pink, pretending to be a balerina, having tea parties... this book series is for you. I get asked time and time again to read and re-read these books. Not sure how long the author can extend the series, but probably as long as little girls go crazy for the stories. Would start with the flagship book Pinkalicious.

Great illustrations! Keeps their interest!
A colorful book and my granddaughter loves the series! She’s nine and reads them to us and to her younger brother who is 6 and autistic. The illustrations are great!

Eh, Pinkalicious gets brattier with every book!
I regret buying all the books in this series but this may be the worst. They are hard to resist with all the glitter and attractive covers and while they *attempt* (attempt being the operative word here) to teach a lesson, that seems to get lost in all the brattiness. My six year old was pretty horrified at Pinkalicious' behavior and does not ask me to read the book over and over like she does with a book she really enjoys.Update: Actually nothing escaped us--we realize she learned a lesson. We did discuss that but how many times can you discuss it? ;) The reason my dd doesn't like the book is that once she got over the shock that someone would actually behave that way, she didn't find it enjoyable because she knows the outcome and the bad attitude is just painful for her--boggles the mind I guess. I tend to feel like this walks the line of sending the message, "You can be as horrible as you want and as long as you apologize afterwards, everything's okay." That feels wrong to me because in real life, often the effects of horrible behavior cannot be undone just because someone regrets acting a certain way. We actually enjoy Pinkalicious the most of this series because the concept of people turning pink is funny and Pinkalicious isn't nearly as rotten....it seems she gets worse with each of the big books. I do want to check out Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink though now that it's been mentioned. :)

A good book in the Pinkalicious series
We have a few of the Pinkalicious book series and my daughter loves the stories. This story is a bit of a surprise as to why it's titled Silverlicious, so it's kinda fun for them as its a little different from other Pinkalicious books. This story goes through many holidays so it might also be a good one for those who are learning about or just love Holidays.

Pinkalicious of another color; Beware a badly printed copy.
I myself have difficulty achieving true affinity with the heroine of this series, but my daughter loves them so what the hey. (Pinka)licious is rather less pleasant than usual, and fails to appreciate the efforts of various nocturnal creatures to suit up as the tooth fairy. Nuff said.Caveat Emptor: we received a 4th printing, which has several facing pages double printed from elsewhere in the book, which makes the book unsuitable. Amazon is sending us a free replacement, I asked for another printing if possible. Parents, check the printing and make sure you have a readable copy before your 30 days are up.
