Very good value, and it works , I get sciatica and this is good for holding your back in place , while iam moving around and doing my stretching to try and release the nerve well made you can remove the back plate , I would say when ordering if your close to the size increase get the next size up , they tell you that ,and I did and iam glad I did but iam very pleased with it and would 100 percent recommend this , if your in pain the twenty something pounds is nothing to get some relief,

My in law has got bad posture and also cannot sleep too well because of the back pain. This belt is easy to use on a day to day basis. It does stretch and helps to relief the pain as it supports a good posture.

After a back injury, (skydiving? nope gardening, old age the gift that keeps on giving) I was unable to move for over three months without being in horrendous pain from a slipped disk. I read through a lot of reviews for back braces and decided to take a punt on this as I didn't want to break the bank as well as my back (again). I am so glad I did; it has given me a lot more mobility just doing mundane tasks that I previously took for granted and helps a great deal with the pain of movement. A word of advice as other reviewers have commented take the cushion out, it gets very uncomfortable after a while where it applies pressure directly to the lower back which is where I injured myself.

I bought this for my wife who has spinal stenosis and the associated pain. It has been better than other back supports that she has tried. It is comfortable to wear and the lumbar support and adjustability of it make it easier to get a good fit. It does restrict the ability to bend your back a little but it encourages you to lift things using your leg muscles rather than putting strain on your back, as of course you should do always when lifting heavy items :-) It does not of course cure the spinal stenosis, but worn for longer periods definitely reduces the pain levels somewhat, for those with spinal stenosis any reduction in the pain levels is a bonus!
