Pine Wood Floating Bookshelf

Purchased a set to try out and will definitely order more. Love the way they look and they’re very sturdy as well made. Size is good, thick books aren’t an option if you want them to lie straight (see pictures for perfect book thickness reference). Shelving is very stable. Good hardware but be prepared to cuss and say a lot of forgiveness prayers because they are patience abusers.

These overachievers store books above AND below, doubling your storage without demanding extra wall space. Honestly, I feel like they should cost more just for their work ethic. Installation? Ridiculously easy. If you can handle a screwdriver and follow basic instructions, you can have these up in minutes. Sturdy? Absolutely. They hold books, decorations, and even a small existential crisis without breaking a sweat. My only qualm is that the bands that hold the books require hardcover if you’re going to have the book there for a really long time bc it appears like a little too much pressure for softcover books. I absolutely love these shelves. They’re so unique and classy looking. Everyone who sees them asks how they work. ASSEMBLY: Not too difficult, as long as you’re comfortable drilling into your walls. Each shelf attaches to its bracket with four included bolts. To hang them, you’ll need to level and mark, drill eight holes per shelf, insert anchors, and screw them in. It’s pretty straightforward, but I’d recommend having a second set of hands to help - makes life easier. FUNCTIONALITY: This is more of a decorative bookshelf than something you’d want to use every day. You can take books in and out, but it takes a little finagling. The elastic straps have a nice amount of stretch and are spaced well. When I was first loading books, I used a hair tie to wrangle the straps and just pulled out the ones I needed - worked like a charm. My books hung pretty straight from the start, but I found that sturdier hardbacks look best. Thin paperbacks tend to bend and don’t hang as nicely. All that said, I love how these look. They add so much character to the room, and for the price, I think they’re absolutely worth it.

I love these shelves. They’re fun, unique, and a great space-saving solution because you get both shelf space and a smart way to store books at the same time. They were easy to install, and all the hardware was included. The shelves are lightweight but still feel high quality and sturdy once mounted. I also love that they spark conversation—everyone who sees them asks about them. The only small downside is that the side straps are black elastic. Clear or more neutral straps would have blended in a bit better visually, but this didn’t affect the functionality at all. Overall, they look great, work exactly as intended, and are perfect if you want something practical that also adds personality to your space.

Middle kid is a reader and they are great for her room. They are well crafted and easy to install. You definitely need the included hardware and anchors if you aren't screwing them into a stud. They look really good when all the books on the bottom are in the straps that hold them up.

The shelves and supports are sturdy, they are well made, and attach to one another easily (highly appreciated). The kit brings even a level and a screwdriver (very thoughtful). Each shelf is attached to the wall using 8 screws, which gives for a very solid fixed end. Having my books displayed upside down helps avoid setting dust, and makes for a more whimsical environment 10/10

Solid bookshelf. Easy to install. It holds the books up via cloth elastics. So there are a few minor aesthetic problems. Thick books work best, but they can’t be too thick. If you have something tall and thin like a graphic novel, that’s gonna bend and not look great. The books also aren’t super easy to get in and out of those bands. So make sure it’s not something you’re going to be reaching for every day. Otherwise, awesome little talking piece. I love it.
