Finally Brabantia came up with a regular sized kitchen trash can. I use this because it’s easy to bug proof. The lid shuts without gaps, and stays steady. it will never warp. I’ve had Brabantia trash containers for years. I use regular trash bags as well. Their brand of bags is ridiculously expensive. I use them for regular trash. You can definitely use them for composting. No bugs! I live in an older apartment and have to prevent the little uninvited crawling guests to be tempted. This fits the bill. I don’t recommend if you have a trash digging pet. The lid doesn’t lock. You can mount some of them on the wall.I love their products, have four of various sizes. they’re very pricey, but are worth it. Superb containers

Came with a few bags but I tried my regular 13 gallon bags and they work fine. I'm thinking of using this can for regular trash. I can keep lid open or closed whenever I choose to, no big deal.Very satisfied with this purchase.
