Alumilite Colorant Single Color Liquid Pigment Dye Black

I bought the black dye for a fiberglass project. I used the recommended amount and no more. A little goes a long way. I mixed with the resin and then applied. When it cured, the fiberglass was solid pure black. Very happy with the results.

This is a quality dye that worked perfectly in my epoxy project. I added one drop at a time and mixed between drops to make sure I didn’t go too dark. The bottle is little, but it will probably last forever because I only needed 4 drops. I highly recommend this product and will come back to this brand if I need other colors.

This product is VERY pigmented. A little goes a long way in resin and it’s very opaque. Love it. It was just what I was hoping for. Just be careful to close and wipe the twist cap carefully. This stuff can get everywhere if you aren’t careful. Great product though.

I am trying to make a replacement part for a pair of headphones, and I need it to be pretty close to jet black. JB Weld happens to be a good candidate for the part's body, but it is far too grey in its usual form.This dye is highly effective even in a tiny quantity - I was able to blacken about 1/4oz of epoxy with just the little bit of dye that was on the seal of the container. It also worked on a different two-part epoxy that was supposed to be jet black, but was actually more like a dark basalt. I just had to use a minute quantity, as using too much throws off the mixture, but once I had that right, the end result was just as I expected.To clean up, I used IPA, then warm soap and water, had no issues. I plan on testing this with some two-part resin and seeing if I get similar results, but I expect that to be the case.Would recommend.

When they said a little goes a long way, they weren’t joking. This black is wonderful. I get the opaque color l need plus a little dab will do ya! No paste or powder, just a heavy bodied liquid. I would love to get my hands on a beautiful dark blue and purple!
