Orion 8741 25mm Sirius Plossl Telescope Eyepiece

This eyepiece will be used with an 8" refractor, and in a 12" F5 Newtonian split-ring mount telescope I repaired for the local astronomical society. The eyepiece has great contrast. The rubber eyepiece, is rather small and not very useful but that is not important in this mostly-dark-sky area. I'm pleased with the results for both planetary and deep space observation (including M52, M57, M22, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, etc.). Splitting Polaris A and B (separated by about 17 arc seconds) is easy and crisp. All in all, a good eyepiece for the money, with a clean 52 degree AFOV up to the edges.

Wonderful eyepiece to gaze at large celestial objects like the Hyades, the Pleiades, and other star clusters or nebulae. The view is clear, bright, sharp and it's confortable. I just love it.

I use this eyepiece in my Meade Adventure Scope for wide views. It's sharp and clear. I tried another 25mm eyepiece with a 60 degree field of view but the outer edges of the view weren't sharp in this telescope. I'm happy with this eyepiece.
