Fabulous tips and advice some of which we have implemented with great success!! If you have a toddler you need this book in your life! Thanks Jo xx Review: I was in toddler tantrum hell..... - My husband and I both bought this book so we were on the same page (no pun intended) It was an eye opener as we could see it was our inconsistency, lack of awareness and discipline That had created a little terror. Brilliant advice for anyone with a head strong toddler
Brilliant advice for anyone with a head strong toddler! advice is simple and easy to follow and if persistent, it works. Really like the writing style and the fact that you delve in and out of chapters that apply to your circumstances, with ease.

I bought this book to try and get some insight into my three year olds recent change in behaviour. My daughter has always been a contented child but became much more challenging and full of tantrums. From the feedback I expected to learn some techniques to deal with these, however, I was left somewhat disappointed that there was not more in this area and what was discussed heavily hinged upon the naughty step. Overall it was an interesting read for parents but I did feel it lacking in practical techniques.

Helpful and honest. I certainly have taken aboard the idea of stepping back and determining what I should do rather than immediately telling my child off. There were lots of scenarios discussed relevant to me dealing with both myself and a 2 1/2 year old.

Fab book
I chose his book to help me with my 2 year old's changes in sleep pattern i.e. Not wanting to sleep in her own bed and this book has helped me consider options to address this in addition to other typical toddler behaviours such as tantrums....and I have a very strong willed little girl! This book is brilliant, easy to read and I can see I will be picking it up and re-reading sections of it for the next 2-3 years! Highly recommended.

Great advice, but nothing bew
Bought this after another fraught evening with my 3yo. I like Jo Frost’s approach but this book didn’t advise me to do anything I’m not already doing. Could do with Jo Frost herself!

Highly recommended lecture
Love Super nanny Jo and as a nanny myself, I’ve seen myself in a lot of these situation with families so nothing better than reading about others nannies work, can give new perspective and also can be useful for families. I would highly recommend to any parent with questions.

I purchased this book because we needed a little help in the tantrum department for my 2 and a half year old daughter. There are so many books out there, so it's a little overwhelming as to know where to start. I had remembered Jo Frost from her TV series Super Nanny. I had watched it years ago long before I was married and had a child. I remembered thinking back then "how could all these children be so bad and not listen to their parents" and that "OMG this woman is amazing helping those families". Fast forward many years to now and here I am needing a little help too. Although my situation doesn't warrant Jo Frost to come live at my house for a week and solve the problem, it did warrant me buying this book and reading her tricks of the trade. Not every topic in the book applied to us but what did was very insightful and gave us an understanding of what was happening and how to help fix it. Her information and techniques may not be for everyone but I really like what she had to say in this book and it was very helpful for us. I would recommend this book as it's easy to read and understand and doesn't make you feel like a failure as a parent.

Good tips for parents of toddlers. Parts of the book seemed repetitive and some topics could have been expanded upon.

I am a clinical psychologist with 15 years' experience of working with children. Once I have determined child does not have an underlying clinical or developmental problem, I use this book with my clients. I also use Jo's Toddler SOS. I tell all my new clients to buy a copy of each before I start working with them! Jo's approach is no-nonsense and practical. She tells parents exactly what is needed and she does not soft-soap their responsibilities for managing children's behaviour (as so often happens nowadays). I have been on very expensive professional child-behaviour training courses that have not been half as useful as simply reading this book. My only criticism is that it does not seem to be available in hardback. My copy is fast falling apart! Also Jo, I would gladly pay for some photocopiable resources to use with clients.
