Exceeds expectations!
I agonized over which nugget ice maker to invest in, and we finally settled on this. First of all it’s small enough to fit under our low cupboards and in our small kitchen with little counter space. Secondly it makes perfect ice, not melty or too soft. Not only that but it stays frozen for hours after the machine stops producing. I guess if there were a flaw it would be the sound it makes when you first turn it on, it’s kind of loud. This doesn’t last long though, and once ice begins to fall it gets much quieter, and becomes just sort of a soft, low background noise. Overall I’m very pleased, and most importantly my boys have plenty of ice for bumps and bruises after sports.

Great ice maker
Love love love my ice machine..just make sure you give it a good clean atleast once a week... As part of your cleaning keep you some wd 40 to spray the motor and fans because they will start to make a horrible grinding sound after a while of constant use.. once you do that with your weekly cleaning you won't have any problems. ***Update ice machine took it's last breathe today.... this ice machine didn't even last a yr...it makes great ice but even with me doing my own weekly maintenance to make sure it's clean it's started making this screeching grinding sound nothing you can do to stop that sound once u start hearing that sound it's over just start looking for a new machine... When from 5 stars to 1 star because this ice machine barely made it 6 months I purchased this machine Oct of 2025 don't waste your money..very disappointed

Be realistic with nugget demands
I watched critical review on this ice maker and I’ll address the few things that are common sense and that I’ve experienced in the 24 hours having this ice maker. 1. price tag, I love to chew on ice and I decided worth the price tag to get the ice I want. 2. Ice production at 33lbs a day. I find this very far fetched. You would have to have someone manning the machine to get that much ice. First and most obvious the ice tray isn’t big enough to hold 33 lbs and neither is the reservoir. PS if you need 33 lbs of ice a day you’re better off getting a commercial ice maker or 7- 5lb bags of ice. I believe it can produce that much ice but not without some work. Also when filling the basket you will need to check on it. This is nugget ice and square things don’t roll. So they stack up on top of each other and the machine thinks the basket is full. So I’ve pulled the ice forward so it can fill the back of the basket. I don’t find this to be a big deal. It’s one of the things I will deal with to have nugget ice. Also it’s still the first full basket so I don’t know how it is to maintain after a while. 3. Cleaning- haven’t cleaned it yet but think about the water in your area. If your faucets and coffee maker have a bunch of water deposits, what makes you think this is invincible of getting the same thing. You may want to get a water filter pitcher or buy bottled water if this is your situation. 4. Some people complain it’s noisy. But come on now, it’s a machine running. You’re going to have a fan to keep the machine cool. It’s not silent! But I will say it’s another fan running. I did question what was going on in the kitchen when I first started hearing the ice drop. Hahah! Then I remembered.. dork you just plugged it in and forgot?!? lol. 5. ice basket capacity. Well it’s just me at home and occasionally I’ll have a friend or two over. I imagine it would make plenty of ice. I would however make sure the ice tray was full and that I top off the reservoir so it’s got plenty of both to keep running. 6. Size. Two of my friends have bullet ice, ice machines and their machine is significantly larger then this one. I think it’s a nice size. And you can see the size of the microwave next to my machine. 7. Nugget texture. Everyone loves sonic ice. But realize sonic produces their ice and it sits in a freezer and is frozen before being put into our drinks. It’s going to be super crunchy. This is an ice machine and has a plastic bin to sit in before being put into our drinks. So as soon as it’s made it starts to melt. It’s the same as having a cup of ice vs a cup of ice in our fancy double insulated metal cups. So that being said the ice is not as crunchy it’s a little squishy. But if you want crunchy ice, throw it in an ice box and put it in the freezer. 8. Capacity of water reservoir is 1.1 Liter. So what I have is a small PUR water filter pitcher that I have filled with water sitting behind the ice maker. Pull the ice tray out and fill the reservoir. Ps don’t forget to tip the tray to the side slightly to drain and water from ice that has melted. 9. Power button and lights! One button on/off, yes please. And the maker has a nice light that glows around the button. White light for making ice, green for ice tray full, which can also mean that the ice is stacked up and you need to move it to the front so the machine can make more ice. (Remember square things stack) red light means your water reservoir is running low on water. And I haven’t seen it yet but when you do the self cleaning cycle, there will be a blue light. With all of this being said. I’m very satisfied with my ice maker and recommend it to others as long as you know it’s not a set it and forget it machine. And again square things stack. If you don’t want to move the ice at all, get a bullet ice maker.

Excellent results with reasonable price point
Why did you pick this product vs others?: We tried the fancy GE (opal 1) refurbished and the first lasted almost a year and the reorder was doa so we decided to try a different brand. After a bunch of "research" we decided to give this one a go. We're extremely happy so far. The speed of making ice is fantastic. Our baby is teething and the little pieces have been a massive relief for her. We love ice and use it constantly. Cocktails, water bottles, etc it's been just as good. I'll update the review to address lifespan but it seems most of these products don't last more than 1-2 years so we didn't want to drop too much money. I think the build quality is better and I'm hopeful we get a good life out of it. The fan on the side is a great design choice and the noise isn't bad. I notice it turning on or off but we haven't found the volume to be intrusive and it's close to our living room.

Great little appliance, but needs management!
The appliance does a great job of making ice and does so quickly and efficiently. The nugget ice is a nice change from the bullet ice and just makes for more refreshing drinks and cocktails. Here's the one thing that keeps me from rating this 5-star - it requires some management on your part. The issue is that as the ice maker is making the ice and dumping into the bin it starts to build a a small bridge from the pile of made ice to the place where the ice comes out. When this happens it triggers the ice maker to think the ice bin is full so it stops making ice. At that point the ice in the bin begins to melt and you are left with a bin that is maybe 25% full. What i have had to do is periodically spread the made ice out in the bin away from the area where it comes out so that you can maintain a fairly full bin. The other thing that compounds this issue is that the bin for the ice is made completely of plastic and has no insulation around it. With my bullet ice maker the ice bin was submerged in the unit so that there was insulation around it and the ice did not melt that quickly. Again, with this unit the ice is just in that plastic bin and the nugget ice melts more quickly then the bullet ice. So, if you are okay with managing the bin from time to time you will enjoy this unit. If you want to just set it and forget it and expect a full bin of ice when you want some you may be very disappointed.

Great nugget ice maker
Makes ice super fast! It is not quiet but it’s tolerable. I love that it’s compact and makes the ice really quickly. Does not leak and is very easy to set up and use. Definitely compact enough to use on a counter top

Not worth the price
Bought it for my wife as a Christmas gift worked good for a little while ran into a few issues first one was it has to stay on all the time the ice melts super fast the storage container it stays in has to constantly make new ice to replace the one that melts I feel it should be insulated or something the next issue was it broke the motor burnt out because of having to run all the time that after the first month it started making noises and the motor would even have ice build up on it melt it away and nothing it just quit working

Good nugget ice but has struggles.
I love the nugget ice, and the price is really good for this icemaker however, the spout for the ice gets clogged and it stops producing ice, and the bin is not filled. Also, it’s very noisy when it’s running the fan and the machine are very loud. The ice turns out really nice and it’s easy to clean with the auto cleaner feature.

120 V not 240 V
Make it clearer in the notes that the appliance is 120 V
