I bought this item to keep raccoons from pooping on the ledge of my pool. Had been using unit from another manufacturer, and there was no evidence of raccoons but after one year was uncertain if it was still working because light was no longer visible when I tripped the sight plane. So replaced it with this new unit CIIC Upgraded Solar Animal Repellent, and during second night of use, raccoons had pooped on the pool ledge, so it was worse than the old one that might not have been working. So this is a useless item.

I have a car port with my classic car inside with 4yr old restored paint. When it rains stray cats found their way in and were sleeping on my roof. Like clock work, it would rain and I would have muddy foot steps all over my car and a roof full of hair the next morning. Installed this on the first setting and no more cat brothel on my car. In a few months I only found a few paw prints on the hood but the sound must have scared them off soon after. I need to find a better position or buy one for the front and back of the car port. The device holds a charge and the solar panel is sufficient for charging and ringing this thing day and night. I also like that it uses AA rechargeable batteries so they can be easily replaced each season when the batteries get tired and don't hold a charge long enough. That's a big plus because I hate having to throw something away because you can't simply changed the rechargeable battery. Very satisfied with this purchase 👍

I bought this due to the insane number of neighbors I have that assume our lawn is their dogs personal toilet. This did nothing to scare off the dogs. They are still coming right up to the thing and leaving their filth. It has however angered the local squirrels enough that they sit in the tree above and hurl epithets at us when we go outside.

Everything seems to be working fine, instructions were to go back online for operating instructions. Couldn’t find what I needed., I hard mounted the units with conduit clamps and played with them until I got the effect I wanted

Doesnt work for the stray cats in my yard

Didn’t seem to matter to the cats I was trying to keep out of my carport and garden. Also, unless it gets a good amount of sun the battery won’t recharge fully. I guess if it was in the middle of a field somewhere it would fully charge. This was next to my carport and got full sun until noon or so.

Keeps my neighbor's pet off my back deck.

Got this to deter dogs from coming up all the way up near my house while using the bathroom. Didn’t or had very little effect on the dogs but the dog owners and people that would walk by on the sidewalk could hear it, that’s for sure. It’s very faint but you can hear the little beep. Definitely not a dog whistle.
