Essential game changer
It’s simple to get used to. I use it on my thumb. My stitches are so much nicer!

Works but is uncomfortable
This is pretty clearly a tapestry needle which has been welded onto a finger pick. As such it gets uncomfortable after awhile because the groves of the needle eye will rub the skin uncomfortably. That said, it does what it says it will do, which is the most important thing.

as advertised
item becomes a little uncomfortable after long periods of use and the needle tip is just a tad too long making it a little cumbersome when stitching in hand

Great little tool
Normally I railroad my stitches, but I came upon a pattern that required 3 strands of floss. This little gadget laid all my stitches beautifully…maybe even better than railroading! It does turn stitching into a 2-hand task, so I would recommend a hoop stand if you don’t already have one. I’m a Q-Snap user and made my own lap stand out of PVC, which worked perfectly!

Excellent for ribbon embroidery.
It helps keeping the ribbon flat & smooth. I also use in my cross stitch projects.

trolley needle
I received an email request asking how to use a trolley needle and it made me stop and think about just that....I use my needle as an extention of my left thumb (I am right handed) as a laying tool that I don't have to juggle as I stitch...I stitch in hand and not with a frame....a frame frees, up your hand to hold a separate point. The trolley lets the stitcher smooth the fibers and hold them that way as you guide the stitch into place. It means the stitched thread covers the fabric more completely and lays more smoothly giving better coverage and a nicer looking finished project/design. Your thumb while efficient just isn't slim enough to complete a stitch as completely down to the fabric....as to this product, it fits, has smooth inner edges, is strong and reliable...tip I have small scissor sheath to protect the point and me from accidental stabbing in my notions kit, workbox and travel kit I have several I don't like forgetting a tool while in class, on vacation, or at home all set up and ready to STITCH!!!!

Needle Trolley is well worth the investment *****FIVE STARS*****
I've been reading about using a NEEDLE TROLLEY, but wasn't really sure if it would be easy to use or not, everything I had seen said they were a great help for making your cross stitch look great. I wear it on my left hand ring finger every time I stitch and it works great, the threads lay down much nicer than without it. It took just a little time to decide which finger worked best for me and get use to it, but if I forget to put it on I can tell the difference in my stitches. Since it is metal, if you are using magnets for parking needles, this is something that you can park on your needle minder to help prevent loss. My update on this item - - - I was worried at some point if I lost or some how messed this thin up I'd be lost as far as my stitching goes, so I came back for another as a backup!

Essential for cross stitch
I love these. My only complaint is the heavy metal smell. I covered with clear finger nail polish and it went away.
