I bought the DJI Mic Mini to use with my DJI Osmo Action 4, and I’m genuinely impressed. It arrived very well packaged and feels like a quality product straight out of the box. The mic is minuscule and light, so it’s barely noticeable when wearing it. Setup was simple and straightforward, and it just worked without any messing around. The magnetic clip is much stronger than I expected and feels very secure. Audio quality is excellent—clear and natural sounding, and a big improvement over the camera’s built-in mic. After using it for a while, I honestly haven’t found any downsides yet. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This mic is not only good at recording your voice but also background noise. Very easy to connect via bluetooth and perfect when using a DJI gimbal. The wind sock is in black and grey. I like the grey. I was really impressed with the range that it still worked with my iPhone 16. Using it with the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P Gimbal works perfectly as you do not have to plug anything in. The quality is as you would expect from DJI. So far I have filmed over 2 hours and I did not run out of power. It is small and light and can connect to your cloths with a clip or a magnet. It is decently durable and is great for social media. I visited a local waterfall. I had the mic clipped on my jacket and it picked up the sound perfectly.

A great little mic and I do mean little have a look at my video, which was recorded with the mic paired with my phone. It comes with all the parts you need, the charging cradle, the mic, mic clip, magnetic holder, dead cats, pouch and the mic itself. I have worn it on my shirt and have wandered around the house whilst recording to my phone which I left in a different room and it worked very well. Simple to use and for its relatively low cost great value for money. It’s all well put together and it works with my Osmo Mobile 7P too so I am very happy. I have recorded a couple of videos already and I think I am already seeing a difference compared to the phones own mic. DJI products are well made and simple to use and sync with their Mimo Software on the phone. Pairing was simple, I have only charged it once so far in a month so battery life and use seems good, as I say in the video it is compact and relatively lightweight so is comfortable whilst secured to a shirt etc.

This deserves more than 5 stars! It is absolutely a brilliant little microphone. The first thing that struck me was how very small it is! It comes with built in clip and a tiny magnet that you attach to the rear with a shirt or pullover in between. They recommend a 5v 2 amp charger which I used without any overheating at all. I connected it to my Pixel 8 pro via Bluetooth and using the DJI app updated the firmware. In my Google mobile camera app I selected the Bluetooth microphone and filmed some footage very successfully even working a distance from the phone with the transmitter clipped to my shirt. I lowered my voice and spoke very quietly into mic. When I replayed the video I could hear myself very clearly. So an excellent little device and well made.

This thing is a small bundle of, uhh... "man juice". It's absolutely useless without the receiver as its bitrate is heavily limited which causes issues with numerous apps on mobiles and programs on PCs. The receiver is not sold separately, only the older version, which I don't deem suitable. If I want to be able to use this I would have to buy another TX x RX bundle which would leave me with an unnecessary extra mic and other junk I have no use for. I can't comment on things such as how long the battery lasts, how tough it is, or how well built it is as I've not been able to use it but when it comes to compatibility this thing doesn't play ball with anything. Considering that it's sold as a single unit boasting bluetooth compatibility out-the-box without requiring a proprietary receiver, this is a bit of a scam. Nothing new from DJI though - awful brand and has been for years. Unfortunately without spewing out ridiculous sums of money for tiny wireless lav mics there aren't any realistic alternatives.

The DJI Mini Mic is a great little piece of kit – compact, easy to use, and it delivers really clear audio. I’ve enjoyed using it and it definitely adds a more professional touch compared to relying on in-camera sound. One thing to keep in mind is that you do need a gimbal or transmitter to make the most out of it, so it’s not totally “plug and play” on its own. As long as you’ve got the right setup, though, it works really well and is definitely worth having in your bag.

The DJI Mic Mini is basically DJI’s answer for anyone who wants professional-sounding audio without the bulky "broadcaster" look. It’s tiny—about the size of a square of chocolate—and light enough that it doesn’t sag your shirt collar, which is a common annoyance with bigger wireless mics. ​Sound Quality ​For the price, the sound is surprisingly rich. It captures 24-bit audio, which sounds clean and "upfront" compared to the hollow, echoey sound you get from a phone or camera's built-in mic. ​One of the best features is the two-level noise cancellation. The "Basic" mode is great for indoor hums like a fridge or AC, while the "Strong" mode is a lifesaver if you're filming near traffic or in a windy park. It also has a built-in "safety track" option that records a second version of your audio at a lower volume, so if you suddenly laugh or shout, the audio won't "clip" or distort. ​The main trade-off for the size is that it doesn't have internal backup recording like the more expensive Mic 2. This means you’re relying entirely on the wireless connection to your device, but with a 400-meter range, it stays very stable for most normal uses. ​What’s in the Package ​If you go for the full kit (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case), here is exactly what you get: ​2 Transmitters (the mics): These are the tiny squares you clip on. ​1 Receiver: This plugs into your camera or phone. ​Charging Case: This stores everything and keeps the units charged (giving you about 48 hours of total use). ​Phone Adapters: USB-C and Lightning adapters so it works with almost any smartphone. ​Camera Cable: A 3.5mm TRS cable for DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. ​Windscreens: Two "deadcat" fuzzy covers for outdoor shooting. ​Magnets: Two clip magnets that let you attach the mic to your clothes without using the physical clip. ​Carrying Pouch: A soft bag to keep the cables and small bits from getting lost. ​It’s a solid choice if you’re a solo creator or doing interviews and want something that just works the second you take it out of the box.

Picked this up to round out the BTS side of things and it slots into the kit nicely. For proper narrative or commercial audio I'm obviously running something else, but for behind the scenes work and run and gun vlog style content this is exactly what you want. The instant sync to the DJI action cameras is the standout feature, no faffing about with pairing menus or remembering which receiver goes with which transmitter, it just connects and you're rolling. When you're trying to capture a moment on set and don't have time to mess around, that matters. Audio quality is well beyond what you'd expect from something this small, clean enough that BTS content actually sounds professional rather than tinny. Battery life has been solid across a shoot day, and the form factor is so small you forget it's clipped on. Noise cancelling does a decent job too, useful when you're moving between different environments on a shoot. For the price and what it adds to the BTS workflow, no complaints. If you're already in the DJI ecosystem this is a no brainer.
