The design has almost an antique aesthetic. Its charming and beautiful. I do wish they were slightly larger so they would be more noticeable because they are lovely but they are true to the size described by seller. I will need to order a chain extender as well since I have high ceilings in my apartment and I'm on the shorter side. I cannot reach them without a chair but my husband whom has about 6 inches on me vertically can reach them just fine. The chains are the length described by seller so it's my fault for not measuring how long they would be prior to ordering. I am still extremely happy with my purchase because they are gorgeous and look so much nicer than the 2 pieces of cord string a previous tenant tied to the ceiling fan!!
