What's the inner size of the white matting (or: how much is covered/cut off of an A4/A3 print)?

An A4 image would fit almost exactly behind the matting

Hello there I have recently ordered an A3 one of these frames but it has no fittings with it ???

I had this with one too but returned it for a refund and ordered another

Is it possible to remove the mount completely to maximise the visible space?

Looks like it should be easy enough to remove the mount. It's held in by small metal tags similar to those often used on the back of a picture frame. It would, however, expose the semi-circular corners that hold the pictures in place (though maybe you could place the topmost picture in front of these to hide them).
