lovely to sip and savour
Bought the three 12 year olds together and wasn;t dissapointed with any of them. I would and have bought this one again.

Crisp, sweet, solid oak nose
Nose: Crisp and sweet. There are notes of sultanas and fresh apple blossom. There is a defined floral note followed by Sherry hints. Calvados emerges with a tropical fruit note and golden syrup.Palate: Medium-body and quite firm. There are notes of hot pastries and marmalade, sultanas and peels with a developing sweetness from the barley sugar.Finish: Good length with a solid oaked note

"THE" Macallan still one of the best
Great Whisky. Always loved "The Macallan" sherry cask in all of it's iterations over the years. The old white box version from the eighties and nineties, which was less sweet and more robust was my all time favourite, but this serves me very well and there is very little to compete with it convincingly (Balvenie, Glenfarclas, Tenne), however, there are other excellent whiskies to be had for this money. So "The Macallan" has more competition than perhaps it previously once did, when in my opinion, it was untouchable. "The Macallan" may have changed over the years and for me not all for the better, yet it still is one of the best whiskies around, which just shows how good it was. This particular one, compared to the newer releases I prefer, even though the quality is still there in the Amber and Sienna, this one just has the taste I like.

Great
I like everything about it, expensive but worth it. If I could afford it I would drink it more regularly 👌

Very good sherried whisky, great for a special gift or occasion.
I love it, but my palate is not delicate enough to easily discern the quality over Aberlour 12 or Glenfiddich 15 solera, which you can get for £30-35 in supermarkets. Sure, it's REALLY sherried, and you can feel it when comparing them in the same tasting session, but the differences are tiny. The package and bottle are beautiful, the colour is very rich, almost red, and they don't sell it on every corner, so it's a nice gift or presentation.I gifted it to myself. I'm very happy about it :-)

Beautiful whiskey
This is a beautiful whiskey. Very flavourful and sweet (in my opinion) and the sherry comes through lovely. Full bodied and a lovely colour. The bottle is gorgeous too (what do you expect from Macallan though?!)
