Tests show no difference between inputs. The only difference in speed occurs when used with certain interfaces. For instance, when plugged into a 2.0 it transfers slower. **Q: Macbook pro time machine compatible?** A: Yes, that is what I use mine for and it works fine. **Q: can i use this external drive to store and play my xbox one x ganes?** A: I don’t know for sure is xbox comes with an usb-c port. The drive comes with a usb 3 converter , so it’ll still work with Xbox, but believe i wont be able to reach full data transfer speed as you would with the native usb-c interface. ## Frequently Bought Together - WD 2TB My Passport SSD External Portable Drive, USB 3.1, Up to 540 MB/s - WDBKVX0020PSL-WESN - Hermitshell Hard Travel Case for WD My Passport SSD External Portable Drive --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.lk/products/67909918-wd-2tb-my-passport-ssd-external-portable-drive-usb-3](https://www.desertcart.lk/products/67909918-wd-2tb-my-passport-ssd-external-portable-drive-usb-3) --- *Product available on Desertcart Sri Lanka* *Store origin: LK* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
