Monin - Gourmet Dark Chocolate Sauce, Velvety and Rich, Great for Desserts, Coffee, and Snacks, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO (64 Ounce)

This is the best chocolate sauce! I have tried many different ones and this is the best. I like the Hollander Caramel but Monin Dark Chocolate. Makes great caramel/mocha coffee drinks. Thick but mixes well and not too sweet. Have ordered many times and it comes packaged well with no leaks. My main issue is the Monin pump. I use this just about every day - sometimes skip a few days here or there. Over time, the pump (not included) gets a hardened build-up which makes it harder and harder to dispense. Every so often I just take a fork or something and clean the end. Probably just a normal fault of chocolate sauce which hardens. Not a knock or anything but just an FYI. I cannot take any stars for this as it's the pump not the sauce. -Side note, the old Hollander pumps used to have a rubber tip which 'closed' the tip immediately after use - but the new ones don't. Probably that would have been a good addition to the pump but I digress. The pump includes a detached cap which I should probably use but who wants to do that?

So tasty! Super thick with rich chocolate flavor! We used it in a shake. After tasting, the first thing we noticed was it didn't have the chemical aftertaste of some syrups we've tried. Instead we experienced a lovely chocolate flavor that lingered on the tongue, delicious!

The taste of this chocolate sauce is better than any others I’ve had. The best coffee shops use Monin chocolate so I had to have this in my kitchen. We enjoy it almost daily. The bottle is huge so it should last a while.

Use this in coffee, makes a great mocha. Wife says it is good for chocolate milk too.

I normally avoid reviewing products, and was hesitant to buy this based on the negative reviews; however the positives seem to outweigh the negatives. I decided to use the pump that came with it since it was convenient. I immediately covered the tip of the pump with the provided rubber cover after cleaning any excess from the dispenser. I assumed that as long as I kept the air out I wouldn’t have the problem of mold that the majority of negative reviews stated. I was wrong. I happened to remove the pump just to check and it was completely covered with mold. I figured I could pour what was left of the chocolate into another container and be ok. That made me realize just how bad it was. Not only was the mold on the pump, but also distributed throughout the chocolate. So, I am not sure how to prevent this when using the pump and it appears to be a common problem. But, I believe it is unsafe to use this product since you may not realize how much mold is in there until it migrates to the pump. Monin really needs to create more awareness around this issue. I won’t discuss the flavor and value as that’s not the issue. But having mold in a mostly sealed container shortly after is unacceptable and unsafe.
