OPTIMUS Sparky Piezo Igniter, One size, Green

I've been very pleased with this device. I was dubious that it would work well but it does the job beautifully. I would recommend or buy again if needed.

Do I need it, no, did I buy it any way, YES🤪😜😂.A Little treat, sparked up nicely first time, used on my pocket rocket 2, will field test on my next walk.Thinking ahead, thought it would serve me better with my Trangia stove, instead of lighter or matches, the real reason I wanted to buy it. Let's see how it goes after I've used it a few times.

The best thing I never knew I needed. I use mine with my msr pocket rocket 2 and it fits in the hard case with the stove perfectly. Ideal for the ultralight enthusiast or weekend warrior. 10 out of 10.

Bought this to light my Jetboil on a recent holiday in the Peak District. Did exactly what it's designed to do, no more worrying about soggy matches or the wind blowing them out.

Bought this to light my camping stove rather than carrying a box pf matches around. Works perfectly and is small and light weight. Just have to be careful not to lose it.

I bought this to take on the coast to coast but it never worked. I had to resort to lighting my jetboil with a bic lighter. Unfortunately having arrived home I find I’m a day beyond the return date:(Very disappointed and no idea why something so simple could go wrong.

Wanted to really like this. When i first got this it worked well for a day. After that it would only work if the stove ran on gas and not every click. It stopped working on the dip and click method for petrol and alcohol so no use for winter.

Bought this for my stove system, which has a mesh top as part of the heat exchanger. The igniter may work on open gas vents but not if there is a mesh. I’ll just keep using a cigarettte lighter and bin the OPTIMUS.

What more to say? It works, it's not affected by wind, barely by rain. It's small and easy to pack. I wouldn't call it inexpensive but given the functionality I think it does provide value for the cost.

El encendor es más pequeño de lo que imagine mide 7cm de largo por 2.5 cm de ancho cabe en mi mano ( se aprecia en la foto), trae un pequeño cordón para mano muy conveniente, pesa 4 gramos, lo compre para encender mis estufas de camping, elegí el Optimus por sus refencias en USA en comparación con el MSR. Es una pieza de campismo bien hecha, ya lo veremos la durabilidad en relación al tiempo de uso.

Prodotto identico come da foto e funzionalità perfette. Arrivato in pochissimo tempo. Ottimo; consigliato.

Der Piezo Zünder hat bei mir bis jetzt indoor wie Outdoor selbst bei um die 0°C jedes Mal in Verbindung mit einem BRS-3000 Minibrenner funktioniert. Keine Ahnung, warum einige hier damit ihren Brenner nicht starten konnten.Perfekt ist, dass er mit 100g-Kartusche, BRS3000 Brenner und einem kleinen Tuch perfekt in den 650ml Titanbecher passt und damit ein komplettes Koch-Equipment auf engstem Raum platzsparend untergebracht werden kann. Er hat auf Grund seiner Kurzen Bauform meinen Feuerstahl ersetzt, der nicht mit in den Becher passte. Der Feuerstahl hatte zwar gefühlt mehr Funkenenergie, aber die Zielgenauigkeit ist dafür geringer.In einigen wenigen Fällen habe ich mehrmals probieren müssen, aber beim 2-3 Versuch brannte das Feuer.Durch die kurze Bauform ist man aber mit der Hand schon nahe an der Flamme. Es empfiehlt sich hier im richtigen Winkel von der Seite zu zünden, damit man mit der Hand nicht in der Flamme ist.Einen Trangia Spirituskocher haben wir mit dem Piezoanzünder selbst indoor bei Raumtemperatur zum Test nur mit sehr viel Mühe und sehr unzuverlässig starten können. Outdoor war es nahezu überhaupt nicht möglich. Hier hat der Feuerstein sich besser bewährt.Fazit: Super Combi in meinem Ultra Compact Kochset. Mit den 15g auch sehr leicht, temperatur- sowie feuchtigkeitsunabhängig und braucht keinerlei Batterien oder ähnliches.
