I've had this for a little over two weeks and am sharing to help others if they are debating on purchasing this. First, I love this. I researched these for a bit and choices were somewhat limited as my cats prefer an open top box and there aren't many on the market. I finally settled on this one and am very glad I did. Set up was extremely easy, the app is very user-friendly. I wasn't sure how the box would work with multiple cats (I have two) but it works very well. You set up your cats in the app and it can tell who has been in the box based on the weight you enter for each cat. One of my cats adapted quickly and was not an issue. The other cat, who is the one I actually purchased this for as she prefers a very clean litter box or she will pee on the bathroom rug, has only jumped in it once at this point. She's very skittish naturally and although she is very curious about it she has just started going in a different litter box. I do get alerts that she is peeking in though as the box alerts me that a cat weighing very little has been in the box. She really hasn't been in, it's her peeking in and triggering a sensor, but she looks in a few times a day so I imagine she will get in when she's ready. I love that the app is so customizable and I can get alerts, reminders, etc. The box itself is very simple to use and does a great job cleaning. You can customize how and when you want to clean, either automatically after a cat has visited or manually when you choose. It also has a do not disturb feature which is great; I don't have it clean during the night. It's not loud when it cleans, except for a thud whenever what has been deposited in the box is dropped into the bin. Despite the claims, however, it did smell to me after a few days. I cannot imagine how bad it would smell after two weeks of not emptying the bin. It is in our master bathroom and I was smelling it in the bedroom to the point I thought the one cat was now going somewhere in the bedroom in protest. My routine is to empty it daily and I never smell anything now. I do not use the bags that come with and later need to be purchased. I take a plastic grocery bag, flatten it out and place at the very edge of the bin each day. It works well enough that I can just grab the sides and pull up and everything falls into the middle. I may use the bags when I empty all the litter (which is also very easy to do) but will not use it to clean normal everyday activity. Overall, I highly recommend this box....but do not believe that you can go 14 days without emptying the bin or you will be living in a stink cloud. Two days max....

Love this litter box, auto clean & app on my phone! We do have a 7 and 18 year-old cat. It took a few days to acclimate them from a regular cheap litter box, but it was not as bad as I had expected. You do have to clean out the dump tray at the bottom every few days and add new litter. Be sure to check those before leaving for a few days. I forgot once. There is not any smell unless you don’t empty the bottom dump tray. I have only had to clean out all of the litter once in 3 months! Love the ease of the bottom dump tray because it’s cleaner litter for our cats, and it’s not as heavy as dumping an entire litter box like we did before. You use less litter so the price for box is high, but I use at least 50% less kitty litter. It works great for two cats. There is less litter mess overall. We did buy a step up because of our older cat. I love the convenience of being able to leave for a few days & not have to worry about a mess when I return home. Our part Maine coon cat weighs 25 lbs and she is good with the litter box size but I’m sure how a bigger cat than that would do.

If you are looking to buy this product, don’t. I would like apologize in advance for the long review, however I believe it is worth a read. I purchased this product in July 2024 for around $500. It is selling today for $380. That should tell you a lot right there but I would like to share my terrible experience with this product and Nekasa’s customer support. I have had nothing but problems with this machine since it was purchased just under 2 years ago. ( I’ve only been able to effectively use it as intended for about a year and a half because every time I have to contact customer support support I end up emailing back and forth for months online end before anything gets resolved if it ever does.) 1. My first issue came into play shortly after purchasing. The entire assembly is made of cheap plastic and is. It designed well. It is pieces out together with seams. The rubber litter tray is not secured tightly to the box, and if your cat pees on the side of the bin area, the urine will leak through the seams and down into the base of the machine. The machine after just under 2 years of use smells horrendous. After contacting the support email about this issue their solution was to send me the flimsy silicone stickers that they sell because they know their product is not quality and is not assembled in the best way possible. 2. As a result of the problem listed above and the waste disposal method of this machine, there will be litter that accumulates in the door area causing the door to grind terribly, get stuck, and even become misaligned. I have had to deep clean this machine once a week to keep it functional due to this issue. If the doors become misaligned, you have to disassemble the entire base to clean it and reassemble it again. This requires you to have and extra long necked screw driver to be able to reach down into the holes where the tiny screws are located, unscrew about 20 screws (Hope you don’t lose some), deal with a smell worse than a dive bar’s men’s urinal when the AC is out, and try to clean all the loose litter and urine out of the sensitive electronics and all the nooks and crannies this machine has. Oh, and better try and put it all back together exactly as it came apart because if you don’t, you won’t know until it’s fully reassembled ( there’s no other way to test it). If you don’t, you get to play with the tiny screws and the smell again. 3. The litter issue above will cause the door gear to break. That is also made out of cheap plastic. The teeth have broken on me twice and I have had to replace this gear twice. The inside of the base is nothing but exposed electrical panels and loose wires. The only water proofing is the small amounts of silicone around the wire connections. Not great considering urine leaks through the whole machine. You will have to break the waterproofing the replace the gear motor assembly without breaking the other wires near by or the electrical panel. I even found some unconnected wires in my box when opening it up to clean or replace parts. 4. I most recently had the panic span my phone and email with a weight sensor error. When trying to reset the weight sensor it tells me I need to update the firmware, but I can’t update the firmware without clearing the weight sensor error. Had to reach out to support again, and their solution was to pick it up off the floor for 5 seconds, set it back down and drag it back and forth across the floor. As you guessed, this did nothing. They told me that the machine was out of warranty and that I would need to pay $250 for a new base. (This would bring the total spent on Theo box to $750- should’ve bought a litter robot for that price). After arguing with them for a month, they finally agreed to send me a new base for free ( the least the could do after so many issues from the start). I opening the new base today to find that they sent me a USED base. They didn’t clean it thoroughly and there is still dirty litter and litter dust all of their machine. It is cracked, covered in scratched, and missing legs. Redistributing used parts of a product that handle animal feces is abhorrent. This could lead to the transfer of diseases and bacteria. This should not be allowed. Needless to say, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will waste your time, money, and sanity. Customer support wants nothing but your money, and does not take care of their customers. One of the worst experiences I have ever had as a consumer. I hope this review and pictures saves others from going through this experience.

I've been debating picking up a robot litter box for a while, and have mostly been looking at the Litter Robot 4, but when this was on a pretty sizable sale and I had a $200 gift card it felt good enough to give a shot. It's smaller than I was worried about it being, but still bigger than I thought it might be. I had to do a hard swap from my cat's old litter box to this, but luckily she took to it pretty much right away. It does it's job pretty well and was easy to setup and easy to use. There are a few issues, most are minor but a couple are kind of big. - The open top does result in a lot of litter ending up on the floor around it. I keep the litter box in the laundry room so it's not a huge problem, but if your cat the type to throw litter around when burying their business it will likely get out of the box. - The waste tray reports as full far earlier than it really is. It also dumps a surprising amount of litter into the waste tray sometimes but not always. It's also easier than I'd like to spill out of the waste tray when trying to clean it up. The biggest problem is that while I was able to get this working with Home Assistant using a HACS plugin really easily, but I have to really rely on that. The app on my phone does not stay signed in. It'll log me out within a couple minutes of signing in, and whenever I need to do something in the app I need to do it quick. The app layout. options, etc. are all pretty good, it's just the cloud service does not stay signed in. It does still send me notifications though? I also couldn't access the store front for accessories/consumables, but a recent app update removed that as an option. The store front threw SSL expiration popup errors, and when I get signed out it says the session expired. I suspect the app's cloud services have expired SSL certs or something and that's caused both problems. That they haven't fixed it is... kind of crazy. Beyond all that, it works mostly as expected, the cat uses it, and I don't have to worry about forgetting to clean out the litter box, I've got stuff that notifies me on the phone to clean out the waste bin when needed. Solid buy, but could be better.

I LOVE this litter box! In the week that I have had it set up it has already improved my and my furry family’s lives and home in many ways. I have a young cat and an elder cat. I took the advice from other reviews and placed some of the used litter from the previous litter box into the automatic cleaning box. The youngest took to it quickly, within an hour. The eldest took several days to actually use the box. Thanks to the app I saw that he was checking it out but not actually using it - leaving after barely stepping in. The box is quite tall so I bought an adjustable step and I think it made the box more approachable for them. 1. No smell- all poo is covered in litter and swept into the holding compartment 7 minutes later (you can set the amount of time you want the box the wait between your cat exiting and the cleaning to begin.) 2. Super quiet. Like, seriously quiet. 3. The box is always clean and ready to use free from the other cats leavings. This has stopped the elder cat from going outside the box. Despite having multiple litter boxes, he did not seem to like to share. 4. No more finding the dog’s forbidden ‘treats’ on the floor when I return from work. If you have a sneaky dog living with you then you know what I’m referring to. 4. No more barriers, gates, and mazes around the cat box to keep our beloved sneaky dog away from the litter box. This has given me such joy because now my home looks much better. 5. It saves me time, hassle, and feeling badly about forgetting to clean the litter boxes if I forgot to scoop the regular boxes before rushing to work or when I’m working late. 6. The motion sensors work perfectly! Such relief knowing that the cats are safe. It stops cleaning immediately if they approach it. 6. I have since bought a second automatic litter box but a different brand that was on sale. It offers all the same features however it is not as great as this box. This one is quieter and I feel it is safer while in cleaning mode. It is enough difference that had I seen the difference before hand, I would have spent the additional $100+ and bought another of this brand.

UPDATE: it started to say the bag wasn’t in place and than all heck broke loose and all the lights started flashing and it wouldn’t clean. I’m on day 5 of no litter box (this one) it replaced about 6/7 of my litter boxes so this is a pain in the butt. BUT customer service was very quick to answer and send me over the broken part to replace. We will see how fast it comes. Still five stars, just a little annoyed at myself for removing so many normal litter boxes and only counting on an electric one. Only took two days to receive new bottom replacement piece so that was wonderful. Customer service is great and I will still be buying another one but I will be keeping a few litter boxes still. ORIGINAL: I have ten cats. So I have ten litter boxes that I clean twice a day. I’ve researching these for a while now and came to the conclusion that this is the best of the best for my cats. The Prime day deal on this was way too amazing to pass up. My cats took to it immediately. They aren’t even touching their normal ones anymore. So I just keep up with the litter which I add some every morning and switch the bag as well every morning. I could go a day or two longer without switching I’m sure but I have no interest in the smell and I have enough cats that luckily I’m not wasting bags. There is zero smell. I ordered a shark pet odor air purifier (again CRAZY deal on that too!), it hasn’t showed up yet and honestly I’m not even worried about it. The litter boxes are up stairs in a room with ventilation and this box is under the stairs in a play closet set up for the cats, which is in my living room (I thought for sure I’d be moving it upstairs to the litter box room because I can not stand the smell of litter) and it doesn’t smell. I also use Tidy Cats free & clean. Best litter I have ever used. You literally can not tell I have cats. So that litter with this box is top notch. I will be eventually ordering two more. I forgot to add that the app is really great too. It will let you know if there is enough litter in the box. How full the litter bin is. You can set it up to your liking. It tells you how long your cat was in there for and how much you cat weighs You can make a profile for each cat so it tracks their potty habits. I have too many cats to sit here and set that up. ****Update after three days of owning this, all 10 cats pretty much only use this. With 10 cats I change the bin every 24 hrs because it is full. As stated above, I hope to eventually purchase at least two more. Update***** it’s now next month. And yes, I am dedicated to letting people know what’s up lol. This is the best. I take it apart once a month to give it a good scrub. The things where all the litter goes, those unscrew so that you can get a great clean on this thing. Also as it’s cleaning the box, I like to take a rag to it as it’s cleaning itself because I’ve noticed ‘stuff’ can get on it. I’m still obsessed. As are my cats. I’ve been able to remove five normal litter boxes from upstairs. They barely use the five up there anymore. They’re OBSESSED with this box. I really need to get another one. Worth absolutely every single penny and could not possibly be a happier 10 kittie owner household. UPDATE: I’ve had this for a few months now and it is amazing. I take it apart and wash it twice a month, I change the bag everyday (I have to with so many) and still no smell. I never had to move the litter box from the main floor because I can’t smell it. My cats all still love it. I do recommend only using their bags. I tried a garbage bag when I ran out and you can then smell the dirty litter. So their bags are worth every penny in my opinion. I still plan to purchase two more in the future.

This is the first automatic litter box ever, mostly because I was afraid of dumping a ton of money on something that didn't work or broke down easily. I will say, this machine works, and aside from potential unseen defects, I doubt normal usage would cause it to break down easily. Here's what I like: -sensitive to weight- there's no way your cat would accidentally be inside this machine while it's in the cleaning cycle -open top- if your cat is one that doesn't like a covered box, this box will allow a more open feel, while still being designed to keep cats from accidentally eliminating over the edge, unless they were just oddball cats (always an option?) -good at telling you when you need to add more litter, although, make sure you consider type of litter/calibration, I wasted a lot of litter because it was telling me I was low based off weight, but I just had lightweight litter and ended up overfilling it. Avoidable, but not obvious at first. -does a good job removing waste -very customizable settings What I DON'T like about this box: -THIS IS THE BIGGIE: when it declares the waste bin is full, it literally makes itself unusable until you do something about it. As in, it closes up and is inaccessible to your cats. But you don't get a warning that it's close to full, so essentially, if you're away from home or it's the middle of the night and this thing closes up, it could be hours of your cats having no access. If you have a second box this might not be an issue, but if you don't you end up with accidents because the cats have no choice. That is the #1 reason I will not buy another one of these, despite all the things I like about it, unless they find a solution. -Most of the time I get an alert that the waste bin is full, it's actually closer to 2/3-3/4 full, further making it frustrating that it's unusable at that state. If they alerted 'nearly full' and left it usable, it would actually be perfect. Instead, I find out (sometimes hours later) that it's shut down AND there's still quite a bit of room left. Aside from wasting more bags, it just makes the other issue even more frustrating. -This thing does little to nothing to prevent odors. the waste bin is not secure enough to keep odors trapped within, so the usual amount of time it takes for litter boxes to become unpleasant still applies -while i do appreciate the open nature of this, the way the cleaning process works means that a large visual portion of this box will get dusty and gross looking fast. If you're tucking it somewhere you won't see it, fine, but all these advertizing pics where it's proudly displayed in the middle of a family room are just ridiculous. It will look like that out of the box and then never again unless you have a truly dust free litter which (as this one DOES NOT recommend the pellet litters) I have yet to find. Does it work? Yes, and it has some great features, but it also comes with some BIG functional drawbacks that I don't wish to repeat. If i invest in a second automatic box again it most likely won't be this one.

ive searched the automatic litter box scene for the past 4 years since i first got a cat. the little robot seemed to bug and bulky, i didnt like the way it looked and something about it being open in the front and not the back didnt seem right. all the other ones on the market looked too small and my cats like their space when it comes to their little box ( stainless steel was a HUGE hit with my cats, enclosed litter box did fine but i didnt like the look of it ) when this first hit the market, it looked like a spaceship and i loved it. i love the way this looks and the way that this litter box is open on top and not semi enclosed like the litter robot. pros: you can control this on the app, NO SUBSCRIPTION ( thank god, tired of subscription to things ). this will ask you for your cat(s) weight and will monitor when and how often they go. one pickiest cat loves this litter box and is the only one he will use. you can set a cleaning cycle for either how often in a day and or how long after your cat goes. i set this for an hour after one leaves it and its amazing, i love how easy it is, it doesnt smell at all, its really good at letting you know when it needs to be cleaned. will keep the litter box upside down if the tray is full ! theres an option to opt out of this but its good to have it to be safe cons: depending on the litter you use, it will get dusty and you will need to wipe it down every so often. theres not a ton of features on the app so its not completely customizable but it is enough for this to be a good investment. they also sell their own bag when it comes to liners. they are kinda expensive and you can probably just use a good trash bag. their trash bags are just made for the tray and built for you to pull the string and tie to close. i feel like there could be adjustments here but thats about it. the trashbags can use some work i got this while it was on sale for prime day and it is honestly such a good price for what youre getting. wont unalive your cats like some other automatic litter boxes, will keep your place clean and not smelling like you have cats. if you are looking to know what kind of litter to use, PLEASE use a SUPER FINE LITTER. i use OkuCats Super Soft litter and it goes through it like a breeze with clumping and everything. but OkuCat regular litter does not work very well. you will end up wasting litter if you use pellet litter or a thick clumping litter. any clay litter will be great because it is thin. OkuCat Super Soft is my go too, just a little dusty. go for dust free if anything for minimal clean up if this ever goes on sale GET IT. IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!

Cette litière est géniale, absolument sans odeur et elle plaît beaucoup au chat car elle est ouverte. Le système de nettoyage est très bien conçu. Je l'ai achetée en remplacement d'une els pet qui fonctionnait plutôt bien mais que j'étais obligée de vider et de nettoyer très souvent car l'odeur s'impregnait vite dans la boîte. La aucune odeur, une litière toujours nickel et un bac de récupération totalement séparé de la litière qui ne laisse échapper aucune odeur et se remplit très lentement. l'App fonctionne très bien également. En bref je l'adore, elle a changé notre quotidien a la maison.

Sono molto soddisfatta fella lettiera Neakasa M1. Il montaggio è stato rapidissimo, e anche il collegamento alla rete wifi è stato veloce dopo avere scaricato l'apposita app, davvero molto intuitiva e chiara nei passaggi da seguire. Noi abbiamo due gatti, Brio di 4 kg e Leo di 4,4 kg. Si sono adattati subito, essendo molto curiosi dopo qualche minuto erano gia dentro accovacciati, padroni del nuovo schiavo robotico. Per velocizzare la confidenza noi abbiamo aggiunto alla sabbia nuova un po di sabbia "pulita " presente nella vecchia lettiera automatica. Dopo una settimana di utilizzo abbiamo verificato che per due gatti la lettiera arriva al suo massimo di autonomia come contenimento rifiuti, oltre i 7 giorni è necessario svuotare il sacco. Il sistema comunque funziona perfettamente, quando il sacco rifiuti è pieno le notifiche arrivano puntuali al proprio telefono. Così come la notifica di richiesta rabbocco sabbietta quando insufficiente. La pulizia è automatica e si può programmare di eseguirla da un minuto dopo la rilevazione dell'uscita del gatto fino a quando si preferisce. Secondo la nostra esperienza consigliamo 10 minuti, in modo che la sabbia abbia il tempo di agglomerarsi e gli escrementi di "consolidarsi" Degna di nota l'estrema silenziosità della macchina durante il ciclo di pulizia. Tuttavia, ho notato alcuni problemi. I miei gatti essendo molto curiosi cercano di interagire con la lettiera quando non dovrebbero, ad esempio quando è in fase di pulizia o svuotamento. Adorano guardare la sabbia passare attraverso i buchi del setaccio ritornare pulita nella conca. Però un po troppo da vicino sedendocisi dentro e grattando sulla grata per far uscire la sabbia... Devo quindi lasciare la pulizia in manuale e provvedere quando i due folletti pelosi sono occupati in altre faccende, chiudendomi dietro la porta della stanza oppure da remoto quando tramite le telecamere per fortuna già precedentemente installate non li vedo nelle vicinanze. Leo essendo un gatto di grande statura e molto forte riesce addirittura ad aprire il cassetto dei rifiuti puntando le zampe sdraiato sotto la lettiera. Suggerisco di aggiungere un sistema di blocco più sicuro per il cassetto dei rifiuti, magari con uno scatto più incisivo. Inoltre, ho notato che l'app fa fatica a distinguere i gatti che entrano nella lettiera se hanno un peso simile. Questo può essere un problema se si hanno più gatti con pesi simili, poiché non è possibile monitorare correttamente le loro abitudini. Nel complesso, sono molto soddisfatta della lettiera Neakasa M1, ma credo che con alcune migliorie potrebbe essere ancora più efficace e sicura anche per dei gatti pazzi (rossi) come i miei. Ik gebruik deze kattenbak nu een paar maanden en ben zeer tevreden. Mijn grotere kater wilde niet in een ander gesloten (en goedkoper) model, met de open bovenkant van deze bak is dat geen issue. Soms ligt hij zelfs in het schone grind te slapen. De kwaliteit van de Neakasa is een stuk beter, makkelijker schoon te maken en te vullen in vergelijking met de andere gesloten automatische kattenbak die ik heb. De oude staat er nog wel maar de katten gebruiken hem niet meer Een paar voordelen die ik heb ervaren: Van 3 bakken naar 1: Met twee katten die niet naar dezelfde bak wilden (en dan een protestplas naast de bak gingen doen, ondanks het dagelijkse schoonmaken) is dit een hele opluchting. Ze willen nu _eindelijk_ dezelfde bak gebruiken. Minder kattenbakvulling: Het gebruik van grind is drastisch verminderd, wat scheelt in kosten en gesjouw. Gebruiksgemak: Het legen en vervangen van de opvangzak gaat makkelijk en soepel. En geen vieze lucht meer waar ik steeds met mijn neus boven moet hangen. Schoonmaken is ook eenvoudiger omdat er geen vastgeplakte resten in de bak zitten. App: Hoewel de app leuk en stabiel is, zie ik het meer als een gimmick. De gebruiksstatistieken zijn niet heel nuttig als je katten ongeveer even zwaar zijn. Als hij vandaag stuk zou gaan, zou ik morgen meteen een nieuwe kopen.

We got little kitten and scoping become crazy annoying. Before our 4 years cat was using simple toilet and we cleaned it twice a day but with second kitten we cleared like 7 times. It drived me crazy and the scent...meh. So we decided to buy one of this fancy liter robots and bought 3 to try. Meowant, Neakasa and Petkit and result Neakasa is best so far. Here are pros and cons: Pros 1) CONTROLS THE ODOUR! Disppsal section located under toilet us best ergonomic decission to lock scent in. For example Meowant have ut on top and ut start smells in 2 days. 2) SAFE. We do use it for tiny kitten and it always sees kitty correctly. Also our biggest cat is overweight and weights 6kg and toilet stands solid and never shakes and scares cat. 3) EASY TO CLEAN! Really, its super easy. And uts very important. When plastic absorbs cat urine it becomes crazy stinky and nothing could be done so hardwashing it once in couple weeks is a must. But all another brands made their toilets impossible to clean! Petkit and Meowant are nearly imposible to hardwash, but this unit us a bliss. You can detach the bowl, hardwash it and thats all. Bowl is light and even kid can do it. 4) COMPACT. It's looks huge but it actually quite compact, we couldnt place smaller Meowant un same spot because of its shape but Neakasa is round and can stand in corners without isdues. Cons: 1) Some cats will consider its cleaning sounds noisy but ours dont think so. 2) Might be tall for some cats but our cats jump in it without problems, even 4 months kitten. You can get an adjustable steps if needed
