RADACutlery Turnover, Made in USA, Silver Handle

I did not realize how wide and squat this spatula would be, it is shorter than it looks in the picture. This is a good thing, it allows for better control of the item being manipulated and as long as you are not using in a campfire setting, a longer handle would be of no benefit. Its width is also quite useful as it allows me to scoop up an entire egg omelet tort and flip it in my 9" cast iron pan. I can also easily flip eggs when making over medium as long as they don't slide around too much (bacon fat makes for slippery cast iron). The blade is very strong (yet somewhat flexible) and can be used to cut items already in the pan (hot dogs, and the like). Overall I am very happy with this item and don't mind at all that the handle is now a dull gray, at least it has a good grippable surface that is still easy to clean.Further, this is a very environmentally friendly product if you consider the end-of-life state in which the items can be remade into new products easily and relatively inexpensively. There will not be some bits of plastic floating around for the next 300 years after this product eventually gives up the ghost.

Put this in the dishwasher. The handle changed texture and went a dark grey. Handle feels slightly rough but it all still works.

It's not all that impressive when you open the box, but like with all RADA products the looks can be deceiving. It works just fine and just the right size for a small grill. I really love their knives and their knife sharpener does an amazing job for such a simple tool. I would trust anything they sell.

I love the length- it is 10 inches. I feel it is a bit wide (3 in.)and somewhat awkward in the pan, especially because of the squared edges. The great thing about it is the metal- it is flexible like vintage spatulas- it bends to slide under food, but is strong enough to lift it. I also bought the smaller one, and although it is much smaller, it is surprisingly comfortable and effective. The smaller one can be used for stove top cooking even on large pans and is also useful for serving brownies and small things.

Love this spatula. I cook alot with cast iron and it is great for scraping the pan clean. I had my 1st 1 for 10 years. Used it every day. It finally just gave out on me and had to be replaced.

And very happy with the fine workmanship of this Rada spatula. I look forward to discovering more Rada products!

The handle is too short the and aluminum will discolor in your dishwasher as it’s not polished. It’s also very flimsy steel.
