I stumbled upon this product searching for "kraft" items and was intrigued by the claims the online ad made. Like with all new (to me) and unsual products, it was hard to wrap my head around what exactly it was and how best it could be used. The fact that I could use my laser printer to make any kind of sign I wanted at any time, and also have it be waterproof and stable outside in the weather seemed to good to be true. I decided the only way to test it out was to order a package and try it. I stuck with the kraft style paper and decided to start with the 24lb weight first to get used to it. I figured I could always move up to a heavier weight paper later if I needed to. Like some other reviewers have stated, the kraft paper looks like a photo of kraft paper superimposed upon the "paper." That image is, of course, on both sides of the sheet. The slick sheets handle like they are slippery plastic. I dropped the whole stack of them by accident and they slid all over the floor. Unlike with regular paper, I was able to pick them up and dust them off without making the "paper" smudged or dirty. I decided to use the cardboard sleeve that the paper arrived in for long term storage to avoid any more spills. I have yet to print on this paper with my laser printer. Now that I know I can create my own signs that say whatever I want them to say, the possibilites have me a little overwhelmed. I basically want to direct who can and cannot access this larger property, and direct the myriad of delivery persons to one, single location where all packages are to be left well under cover, etc. I just have to decide on the shortest and most succinct way to convey what I want them to do. Then I want to sit back and watch to see if the clear instructions make a difference. I believe that they will with most delivery persons. Later there will be a lot more signs made when construction is going on, and when the downsizing project begins. I am sure to think of even more uses as I get accustomed to all that this paper offers.

When I ordered this I think I was a bit blinded by the word "kraft". I use kraft envelopes and am always looking for good kraft paper for crafts and things. This is very nice paper but I didn't realize i need a laser printer, for one, and for another, it's shiny and simply printed to look like kraft paper, It's not actual Kraft paper. I'll use it for something, just not sure what yet, but I know it will get used!

Terraslate’s line of 10 mil kraft paper is unlike any other paper I’ve encountered. It’s nearly like cardboard, or a portion of cardboard. It’s practically a board, in and of itself, but each sheet is still flexible, and will wobble, for example, when shaken around. This type of paper would be good for signage, or, for origami. I just recently saw an in-depth look video on origami pieces and theory applied to engineering, where it finds a place in high-end tools in medicine, and for solving other problems in engineering, where very precise movements and retractions are necessary, at times, within a complicated space to work in, in traditional thinking and terms. This paper reminded me of the origami video, because of the quality and durability of the paper. It’s got what seems to be a natural grain to it, that’s been rolled out to feel perfectly smooth, like it was laminated with some kind of coating. The inside document indicates that the paper is intended for menus.

Ok, so I love cardstock. I have a huge collection. I especially love Kraft paper cardstock so when I discovered Terra Slate I had to give it a try. First of all, this paper is super cool and prints really well. I isn’t have any issues with paper jams and I even orders the thickest they offered (120lb). So that is impressive in itself. I guess I was just really disappointed in how the Kraft version looked. It literally looks as if someone took a picture of some really nice and flecked Kraft paper then printed onto this paper. So I knocked a star off for that but to be fair it really only deserved a half of a star taken off (that just wasn’t possible). Because if I had simply picked another color then I probably would have loved it. I just do t think this type of shiny type paper works as Kraft paper. Oh and if your wondering what on earth this paper can be used for think outdoor events, party decorations and posters for outdoors, or I even used it to print business cards that would have a unique texture compared to all the others. Get creative!

I misunderstood this product. I thought it was kraft paper treated to be waterproof. Instead it looks and feels like a very thin sheet of acetate or vellum. It has a satin finish that looks similar to gift wrap, not super glossy but also not matte. The kraft color and paper texture is printed onto each sheet; i.e., it's the same pattern on both sides. It's a good pattern and it doesn't repeat, but you can tell it's printed if that makes sense. The paper fibers are slightly larger than true to size. None of these are downsides. Just describing for accuracy because if you're thinking about buying this, you're probably going for a specific look. This is made of some tough stuff. It's 100% waterproof and tear proof. In fact, it doesn't even stretch when you try to tear it like some plastics do. This is a good quality waterproof laser printer paper. The prints come out sharp and colors stay nice and bright. The slight banding in the black gradient bar in the photo is just my printer running out of toner. This is a good choice if you have a specific need for waterproof kraft paper and laminating isn't an option. It's a little pricey at $1.40 per sheet, but it's so specific that it's probably worth it if it fits your needs. But if you're looking for something that looks and feels like kraft paper, I might keep looking.
