Works but comes off and is easily lost
Instructions were very straightforward and was useful tool for confirming my topspin stroke. Unfortunately, the Spivo I came off after the first 45 min of use . It came apart during a hit such that half of it flew off the racket, out of the court and is now forever lost in the grass. Disappointing that it comes off so easily.

Great tennis training aid to help with my topspin gane
I have used this once on the court and it worked as advertised. The short story is that when you have the proper movement of the tennis racket to hit a shot with topspin, air passes through the device and creates a whistle sound. The faster your racket speed and movement, the louder and higher pitched the whistle. No sound means you are not using the right technique. There really are not any real negatives to this. It makes sense to me how it works. There is no reply rocket science to it. But it does work. After using for a day of playing, I was hitting harder, deeper groundstrokes. There are two different versions in the box. One for a beginner type and one for a more advanced player. They even include a couple different colors to match your racket. I thought that was a nice touch. There is an included storage pouch as well as access to some training videos which I have yet to watch honestly. I had to got through a couple hoops to gain access to the videos. It was a little noting but not too bad. It actually took a few days. You have to ask for activation on a chat group and wait till they see it and respond. I think this could have been a little simpler but not a big deal.I will be using this more and see how well it improves my game overall. So far so good. Five star product in my opinion.

No effective
I don't see how adding this gadget and hearing your the swoosh sound will make you improve. Yes, it tells you whether there is spin on your swings but that doesn't necessarily teach you how to hit better. I think this is a waste of money.

Kinda sorta works, but not really
Reading the product listing it sounds great, but in reality it's barely useful. It does whistle when you swing the racket vertically to get topspin, but it's nearly impossible to tell if the racket was moving vertically before or after the ball made contact - it just happens too fast. Swinging vertically after contact does no good, but this can just as easily teach you to do that. There's also more to hitting with topspin than swinging vertically, and it does nothing to teach that. For what you get it should cost $20, not $147, and if it did I wouldn't feel that I had been conned.

Good Item, But WAY Overpriced
The great thing about Spivo is that it actually works for what it says it's going to do - give you an instant, audible cue in regards to how much or little topspin you're creating on your groundstrokes. It's not something you'd want to use in a match as it might be considered a hindrance (like audible grunting or talking during a point), but for hitting sessions with a partner, machine, or a wall, it really is very effective. Simply put, the more of a "windshield wiper" stroke you use on a forehand / backhand, the louder and more pronounced the "whistle" will be as you move vertically through contact. It's much more effective than having someone call out from the sidelines or trying to gauge how much spin you're imparting using video afterwards. You could, of course, play on a connected court with something like "Play Sight" that can tell you lots of electronic information, but those are expensive and hard to come by. This, little gadget, on the other hand can give you relatively instantaneous feedback on how much spin you're imparting relative to your other shots. It's not going to give you precise RPM numbers or anything like that (an overrated stat as far as I'm concerned), but it will tell you immediately how much *more spin you're adding to your forehand vs your backhand for instance. One of the things I noticed immediately was that my one handed backhand had about 3 times the top spin as my two hander (which I hit much flatter). My forehand, surprisingly, had far more upward movement than I'd thought due to my semi-western / western grip. The place where Spivo helped the most, however, was actually on my slice and kick serves. I'd always assumed that I was imparting a LOT of slice and top spin to my serves, but using Spivo showed me that I really needed to work on my racquet acceleration. I was putting much more effort in hitting through the ball, even on slice serves, than I thought. By simply working on making the whistle sound progressively louder, I was able to train my arm to put more and more slice and kick on my second serves. They were REALLY carving out of the court and jumping high when I wanted. That said, there is simply no reason this device needs to cost as much as it does. I know it comes with a fair bit of digital training, but in my opinion, I'd rather just buy the device separately then purchase the content separately as a subscription. The fact that Spivo is literally just a plastic whistle that clamps onto the top strings - that it's not electronic or connected - is what makes it genius, but that's also what makes the price seem so perplexing.I highly and unequivocally recommend the device, but I don't recommend the bundle with all of the training, etc. Hopefully, they can get these devices into the hands of more players and offer the training part at a more reasonable price as a separate item.
