Pleased to receive my Pixima TS 5150 yesterday, with promised next day delivery on Prime. This replaced my last Canon Pixima which failed after 15 years of faithful service. Immediately noticed quality of new machine poor compared with old model. But it did come with English plug! As previously mentioned in a review, this model tries to be too clever by being all-in. Noticeably cheaper than last model but ink cost more than twice as much. Suggest getting compatible cartridges, which are £12 cheaper with 150% more ink. Take care with download. The easiest option is still USB connection, but you have to buy lead, unless like me you had the old lead from previous model. Do you really need to Smartphone a connection? I only wish to print from PC, even though owning Smartphone and tablet. In my case any wireless connection is difficult because I ethernet my PC to hub, and then use mesh wirelessly to move signal downstairs to lounge to another mesh node to ethernet my smart tv. So horses for courses in the end. I would prefer a printed handbook to on-screen. The set-up notes are good, but don't explain enough. Overall I think the model is good value, but beware the cost of inks.

The printer that was delivered looked ok & the inkjets easy to install - however connecting the device to my wifi network & my phone does not work despite reading all the instructions very carefully & when I tried to download the print drivers to my Mac, Canon demand that I purchase a membership at a monthly subscription charge, of which I have no intention! So the printer will be returned Amazon, unfit for purpose. Also the Canon website only shows USA English, which is an incidental annoyance.

I have had this printer for several months now but find it is the most frustrating printer I have ever owned. If you want a printer for casual use then don't buy this one. Positive - I managed to set it up and get it working ok and the print quality is reasonable. Useful if you want to print from phone or pad. If you do a lot of printing then this printer might fit the brief, apart from cartridge costs which are expensive. Negative - When switching on it takes 30 - 60 seconds to sort itself out before you can print. Frustrating when you only want to the odd page. It also takes 30-60 seconds to shut down when you switch it off. It also has a time out shut down so you can't eliminate this. There is no way to visually check how much paper is in the storage tray so you have to physically take it out to check. When re-inserting the paper tray you then have to go through the whole rigmarole of re-programming paper size etc. Just because you wanted to know how much paper was left. The cost of cartridges is astronomical. I only wanted a printer for the odd print job and being of a reputable make thought it would be up to the job but I am extremely disappointed. Just gets me frustrated 50% of the time.

Replaced my previous identical one. Good printer for home office.

Le plus difficile est de comprendre qu'il faut lever l'avant et sortir la partie noire avant d'imprimer, après c'est une imprimante facile qui accepte les cartouches d'encre compatibles sans problème.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per venire incontro alle sempre più rare necessità di stampa, solitamente limitate a qualche documento o report, senza particolari esigenze. Quindi, piuttosto che guardare alle caratteristiche usuali (dpi, velocità, qualità colore ecc.), ed avendo da poco arredato la mia nuova casa, ho cercato qualcosa che rispondesse a questi requisiti, in questo ordine di priorità: 1 - estetica compatibile con il mio arredo 2 - connettività wireless 3 - capacità di scansione (per liberarmi del mio ottimo ma poco utilizzato Epson Perfection e fare spazio) 4 - facilità d'uso 5 - reperibilità a buon prezzo di cartucce Devo dire che con questa stampante ho raggiunto tutti gli obiettivi. L'aspetto a "saponetta" e il colore bianco vanno benissimo con il mio home office, e la connettività wireless mi ha consentito di collocarla in una libreria, lontano dal PC. Inoltre, l'alimentazione frontale consente di occupare pochissimo spazio in altezza, ed evita la perenne visione della carta pronta a "tuffarsi" in obliquo dentro la stampante. Il piano dello scanner pressoché scompare quando richiuso, tanto da non fare sospettare che si tratti di una multifunzione. Il pannello anteriore, che raggruppa tutti i comandi, integra un chiaro, utile e funzionale display informativo. Per quanto riguarda la configurazione del wireless, devo dire che le istruzioni (distribuite tra il manuale cartaceo, il sito web e il display della stampante) sono abbastanza confusionarie e anche contraddittorie ma, una volta agganciata alla rete, la stampante viene agevolmente vista e gestita sia da PC che dai miei vari dispositivi Android (tablet e cellulari), anche per la scansione delle immagini. Le stampe fotografiche vengono effettuate tramite il caricamento su un apposito "vassoio" (più che altro una "fessura" con un supporto estraibile) sulla parte finale del piano superiore, anche questo totalmente invisibile quando non utilizzato. Le stampe su carta comune sono di buona qualità e il testo è chiaro e leggibile, e sono certo che utilizzando una carta ad hoc per le inkjet possano migliorare ulteriormente. In dotazione cavo di alimentazione, CD di installazione con suite di software aggiuntivo (del tutto superfluo se si ha una connessione Internet) e due cartucce (nero e colore) standard. Ad una prima occhiata, buona anche l'app per Android. Per poco più di 80 euro, incluse spese di spedizione, credo di aver fatto un buon acquisto.

Die Einstellungen für die Fotos drucken ist kompliziert gewesen. Erst durch einstellen der Druckköpfe und eine Tiefenreinigung funktionierte das Drucken der Bilder über die Canon App. Ich habe das Photo Papier G-501 10x15 das vorher verschmierte. Jedoch nach den Einstellungen des Canon Drucker gut funktioniert hat. Was anzumerken ist, das keine genaue Anleitung aufgeführt ist wo man das genau verfolgen kann. Auch kann ich nicht erkennen von wann der Canon Drucker ist, das Jahr ist nicht angegeben. Trotzdem ist der Drucker gut und nicht teuer. Für den privaten Bereich gut.
