Would this bag be strong enough for a mountain expedition? (held against animals)

short answer is yes i took mine to Peru and would rate it as good as my old North Face bag, wouldn't hesitate on taking it for Nepal etc

Where is this bag made?

Mine ripped within a few days - the fabric gets ripped from the stitching. Got tossed out in the end.
