I love this vacuum! Just what I need when three dogs want a cuddle on your bed before they go to their own beds for the night! We have Bostons, and they sometimes shed tiny little black or brown hairs. I give my bedding the once over each night wigh this garden held vacuum and voila, clean and hair free. J also have an allergy to the house dustmite. I use anti dustmite spray in conjunction wihh the vacuum which I find most effective. I have it ready to plug in under my bed. The long lead means I can easily reach the full area of my 6ft6 wide by 6ft9 long bed. Easy to empty, and love you can see how much dust and hair you've collected through the transparent container. Highly recommend.

I was reading the reviews to figure if it’s worth it as the price seemed too affordable. I’m very happy that I bought it as it’s worth every penny. The suction is great as you don’t have to pass over same areas other than one time. Very easy to use or clean. Only down side is the weight but don’t care as you finish the job very quickly. Highly recommend it!

This is a very solidly made, handheld vacuum cleaner specifically tailored towards cleaning mattresses or upholstery, but equally suitable for use on any flat surface. It looks a little industrial, especially with its retro cream plastic casing, but it has a good, solid feel to it and seems as though it will be quite durable unlike many of the flimsier vacuum cleaners available which seem more concerned with looks than performance. It is mains powered, which isn't an issue as this allows it to offer greater power without being limited by battery life, and it's not as though you're walking round the house using it so I actually see this as a plus. After taking the cleaner out of the box you have to attach the dust cylinder, which is a simple process and then you're good to go. A well written instruction manual is supplied, along with a cleaning brush and a replacement dust filter. After switching on the cleaner there is a screen indicating the selected function, which also shows the amount of dust being collected by the cleaner at the time, with a reading between 0 (clean) to 99 (very dirty!). You use the two buttons to turn the machine on or off, as well as selected the appropriate function. After my first use of the cleaner on our mattress I was underwhelmed initially, and wondered whether I was using the same item that had received glowing reviews from other people. There was very little dust in the dust cylinder after a few minutes of use, in fact there was more fluff from the mattress cover than dust from the mattress. I decided to give it a try on our fabric sofa, and saw a totally different result here. The readout immediately showed a higher dust content, and I could see the dust filling up the cylinder as it was used. Multiple passes over the same area resulted in the dust counter gradually reducing until it was zero or very low, indicating that the cleaner was being effective in sucking up dust from the sofa. After use the dust cylinder is easily removed and emptied, before reattaching it to the cleaner ready for its next use. Do you need a separate cleaner specifically for a mattress? Not really, but it is very compact, can easily be stored under the bed or sofa, and seems to offer much better suction than the handheld tool on a regular upright vacuum cleaner.

I returned this because the numbers on the display seemed to not correlate in any way to how dusty it was and just appeared to randomly go up and down even if the vac was not moved. Also too high to fit under my bed. Also after I had done carpet and then went over same area with a simply brush there was still quite a bit of dust and fibres lose on surface, so I very much doubt this can remove more dustmites than my ordinary Henry which can at least get the carpet clean. Found the parts relatively fiddly to fit together after cleaning. Only positive compared to Henry: you get to see the dirt in the clear container. but you also have to empty it out and that creates dust in itself. With a Henry I take the paper bag and throw it in the bin without having to encounter the dust again.
