Saves my back and shoulders!
I acquired a rotator cuff tear through lifting 50 lb kayaks too much. I needed this cart to continue paddling and it works very well. It has a stand and stands up on its own while you move the kayak onto it. It takes some getting used to learn to balance the kayak near the middle which makes for easier rolling. It rolls very well and seems well made.

Works well, but straps can be confusing and time consuming
The product is light weight and folds easily for storage. The quality is a little above average. The biggest issue I have with this thing is an actual place to hold the strap to. I finally figured out this messy setup that holds well (see pic) but it's far more annoying than just running a strap over and under, and cinching down. When you do it that way, it falls off or twists at the slightest resistance. They should provide instructions on properly strapping it down, with pics. Overall, it works well and is fairly solid for my 14' hobie perception.

Kayak very stable on uneven terrain
I used the Perception cart on a rocky curved beach and it worked great. I've placed it on the bow and the stern and it handles my 50 lbs kayak fine. The kickstand is spring loaded with good amount of tension, a nice feature I wasn't expecting. The width is the key to this cart's stability. A little pricey but it's really a quality product. The wheels are said to be foam but they look like molded plastic, regardless they worked fine on the sand.

Close but no cigar...
Pros: Well constructed, easy to store flatCons: Doesn’t fit Perception hull well (slips off), NOT for soft sand, collapses over curbsI tried multiple hull locations/orientations/strap configurations: bottom line- poorly engineered for same make hull- slipped off ½ dozen times from my beachfront yard to the shore, including every time I traversed a curb or hit a soft patch of deep sand! Recommend makers go back to the drawing board.4/28/20 update: I pitched the cheap strap that came with the cart (Perception makes a nicer strap- for the $ it should be included) and used a Thule strap that I already had. Having a manufacturer video on how to mount the kayak on the cart would save a lot of time and effort (like which is the forward facing cart orientation- I saw 2 manufacturer fluff videos that had opposite direction mounts). What I learned from trial and error and internet search: 1) all straps will slip when used over the deck (as recommended)- no matter how tight you cinch them- when you cross a curb high enough (unless you are super careful) or get bogged down in soft sand or gravel with this cart; 2) straps slip a lot less and the cart maintains better alignment in these situations if you position the cart as close to mid-hull as possible and thread THROUGH SCUPPER HOLES, positioning the cart directly under them! Tight lines!5/1/20: I would like to take back 1 more star! The more I use this piece of junk the less I like it: the tires bog down in any soft surface- loose gravel or soft sand. I actually found that dragging the hull across soft sand is easier than pulling the crappy tires across it😡 Bottom line: I’m ordering some balloon tires to retrofit since I can’t return this piece of junk- now the price will total what I should have initially spent on a better cart designed for soft sand (Malone, etc.).

Really helpful when used right
Works good just alittle tough to keep trapped to kayak it keeps on slipping off .... but strap is long enough just have to work at keeping it strapped... but awesome product and helps out alot when strapped right..

Great cart, strap is too short
Love this cart, well made and it folds up nicely. My one complaint is that the strap provided is too short to strap kayak to cart. To get it secure to the cart you need to route it through both bars on each side, if you try to get away with one bar in each side it’ll collapse on you (happened to me).Needed to use one of my own ratchet straps. Otherwise it’s a good product

No directions, allow time to figure out use!
Works great once you figure out the best way to use it, strap to it, and which direction is forward on it. Perception, is it that hard to include some directions?

Works great
I received it today and headed to the beach. It works great in sand and on pavement. I use it with my 18 foot sea kayak and would recommend it to anyone. I've used a smaller cart for the last 3 years and has worked great but this one is so much easier to use in sand.
