Better than futzing around with an SDCard Locker every time, as much as I love that thing.
Expensive but useful, IF the write-protect switch is hardware level and can't just be ignored by the computer. I don't know because I'm not capable of dissecting a board to find out. Someone donate a sample to Big Clive maybe?

Pretty good
I like it, it's small, almost noiseless, when paired with a WD black 2tb SSD it is pretty incredible, occasionally have to reseat the SSD as it's held in with a rubber plug. Had no issues

Brilliant disk.
Wow,soo easy to install, and a great money saver. Apple prices are silly expensive. but they are the best so I guess they deserve the cost.I hope these will last as long. (I bought two) and also a third ,a 2 tb for my macbook pro A LEXA that was easier to install. So found a file just over tb and it flew to drives so fast!!!!Very pleased with them all, the built in fan on the tiny drives is so quite. so will also get the same when needed.

Great little enclosure
Excellent product once again from Satechi, gotten plenty of use. Very portable storage device. NVME installation can be a bit fiddly but is tool free, super simple and doesn’t take long at all. Not the fastest but at this size with only passive cooling what more could you expect. Still plenty fast for my use case transfer project media .

It's perfect. Buy a thermal pad
This is the perfect enclosure for my old Steam Deck SSD. Runs cool as a cucumber even when I'm running multiple VMs from it at the same time. I haven't heard the fan turn on once since I started using it, works like a charm on my iPhone, MacBook and Steam Deck and has given my old SSD a second life in my EDC bag.Note: While I don't think you're likely to hit your SSD's thermal limit with this enclosure, you should buy and install a thermal pad to help with passive cooling. Unlike other SSD enclosures I've purchased (like the Sharge case), this enclosure did not come with any kind of thermal pad in the packaging to install with the SSD which would explain the heat issue that a lot of other reviews seem to mention, and I'd strongly recommend installing one if you can. Like I said you're unlikely to hit your thermal limit to begin with but a thermal pad will significantly improve passive cooling and help it stay quiet.

Ein winziges Gehäuse für eine NVME 2230 SSD
Das Gehäuse ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Um eine SSD einzubauen wird die kleine Abdeckglasscheibe abgezogen, die von einem Magneten gehalten wird. Der Einbau geht ohne Werkzeug vonstatten. Ich verwende das winzige Gehäuse mit einer 2 TB SSD mit der Größe 2230 als Speichererweiterung meines MacBook Air M4 mit verlöteter 256 GB SSD. Ein Geschwindkeitsunterschied ist für mich nicht feststellbar.
