VIPERTEK VTS-979 Stun Gun with Safety Disable Pin LED Flashlight

Received In brand new perfect condition. Made a safety test. Works perfect! It’s now charging. When I tested it the noise it makes startled me for a moment. Never been around one so close. With that said! Please use some common sense with this and one should be just fine. Please keep out of reach of little ones. Highly recommended!!

I bought this for my niece to help her feel more secure while driving and making deliveries, especially at night. She is often pulling into unfamiliar neighborhoods and apartment complexes, so I wanted her to have an added layer of protection. The black color is sleek and discreet. It does not draw attention, which she prefers. It is compact enough to fit easily in her purse or keep within reach in her car, but it feels sturdy and well-made in your hand. The built-in LED flashlight is brighter than expected and very useful for dark driveways and parking lots. The safety disable pin is one of the best features. If someone tries to take it, the pin pulls out and the device becomes disabled, which adds extra peace of mind. It is rechargeable, simple to use, and holds a charge well. When we tested it, the sound alone was loud and intimidating, which could easily deter someone without needing to use it. Pros: Compact and easy to carry Bright built-in flashlight Safety disable pin for added protection Rechargeable and easy to operate Durable construction Suggestions for Improvement: A battery level indicator would be helpful Including a small holster or carrying case would make it even better Overall, this has helped her feel much more confident and secure while out driving. That peace of mind alone makes it worth it.

Love the color it’s so far what I expected. I have not yet used it but hopefully it’s a safety mechanism I can keep in my bag just in case. Comes with a charger, pouch, wrist strap, safety pin, and lastly directions for your safety.

This is a fantastic stun gun at a reasonable price! Some comments mentioned the pin and had questions about it. Basically, the stun gun will not work without a pin inserted at the bottom. The stun gun will arrive with a factory-inserted pin, and you have two options. Either leave the factory-inserted pin, or remove it (I used my fingers and just wiggled it a bit, and it came right out; you could also gently use a pair of pliers), and reinsert the pin that is attached to the wrist strap. The cons with using the pin that is attached to the wrist strap is that if someone tries to take the stun gun away from you (and you have the wrist strap on your wrist) the pin will pull out and your stun gun cannot be used on you. I preferred to replace the factory-inserted pin with the pin that is attached to the wrist strap for this reason, but I did put the factory pin in a safe place in case I ever changed my mind.

Purchased this for walking with my dog at night and I love the flashlight function. I rarely forget it when walking because the flashlight makes it more versatile than just as a protection device. Makes a loud sparky sound too and is really easy to switch to from the flashlight function (even with gloves on). Haven’t needed to use the the tazer function yet thankfully but the few times I’ve hit the button as a warning to someone nearby who was giving me the creeps it was loud and they quickly went a different way. I also like the safety pin function a lot. Lightweight and holds a charge for a long time. Not super compact though and the sparkers are pretty pointy so gets caught in my pocket sometimes, hasn’t ripped anything but definitely need to be mindful that it could.
