Small-lab-grade flow hood for microscopy — affordable for the teacher and the hobbyist, too
This laminar flow hood provides a work area for handing live samples that must be protected from contamination. Two fans draw in air from the top, and blow it through a HEPA filter to provide a continuous flow of filtered air to a rectangular work area for your hands. This makes it possible to manipulate live samples properly and reduce contamination.Everyone using this flow hood should follow the standard protocols for handling live specimens; if you need to learn, there are many "best practices" videos available onlyine. This is a quality product, reasonably priced. Recommended.

Broken plastic hood panels
bought 2. flow is good enough. 2nd one came in with broken hood pieces. pretty flimsy but it works. sending broken one back.

Not suitable for purpose
Inadequate flow. Work space is too small. H12 filter does not suffice for mycology -- an H13 or H14 is required.

Reliable Airflow for Lab
The size is not too big, and it is suitable for placing on the laboratory table or in the mushroom room. The built-in FFU fan can output laminar airflow stably, and the filtering effect is very obvious. Dust and impurities basically do not float into the operating area, which is very helpful for aseptic operation. The H12-level HEPA filter element has high filtration accuracy and is sufficient for mycology or small experiments. The air outlet is clean and stable. The machine uses a 110V voltage and can be directly plugged in for use in home or laboratory environments, which is quite convenient. In actual use, I feel that the air volume is stable enough, and there will be no fluctuations. The noise is also within an acceptable range, and it will not make people uncomfortable if it is turned on for a long time.

Perfect for Installing Screen Protectors—Works Well—Quiet
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this YFTOHI HEPA H12 Filtration Laminar Flow Hood to help keep dust-sensitive items free from dust particles. It is practically a necessity for repairing cell phones, especially anything related to the screens. I appreciate the compact size, which is perfect for home use. It is well-made, especially considering its price of around $200. The LED lights are bright and provide excellent illumination for delicate work. However, I wish the LED lights had a dimmer option. The laminar flow hood is easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and simple to follow, with English on one side and German on the other. This model is compact, with a workspace measuring approximately 7 1/2 inches deep, 16 1/2 inches wide, and 12 7/8 inches high. For those with limited space like ours, it fits perfectly. If you need more workspace, you’ll need a larger unit. The EPA H12 filter captures all visible dust. After testing, I can confidently say it creates a dust-free workspace. The highest airflow causes a flame to bend slightly past 45°, which is enough to maintain steady, clean, laminar airflow. The airflow switch (potentiometer) offers stepless fan speed control. It is also very quiet. No trouble holding a conversation while using it, even at the maximum setting. The LED lights use 3.3 watts, and the fans at the highest speed use 8.5 watts together, for a total of 11.8 watts — not very much! Conclusion: This item has met my expectations, which, according to my grading system, earns four stars. If the LED lights were on a dimmer, it would have exceeded expectations and received the highest rating. I recommend it. Please be aware that this is not a biosafety cabinet. I hope this review is helpful. Thank you for reading!

OK for my electronics hobbies...
The build quality isn't that great, just some thin sheet metal and laser-cut acrylic pieces. I suppose it's around what one would expect for the price. The filter that comes with it has pretty deep pleats and it seems to be OK quality. My application isn't biology/chemistry, but I suspect there would be insufficient air flow if you need to drop particle size from the included filter--the fans don't create much flow and are probably the wrong type for working against any static pressure. Generally, it functions as advertised. The light is pretty nice.My use will be to keep larger dust particles from settling on PCBs and electronics during experiments and I think the unit will suffice for that. For those type applications, the value is pretty good considering the cost of lab grade equipment...

Low-quality materials, limited applications
The workbench is too small, with insufficient wind power and limited clean operating space. The whiteboard gets scratched easily, and two computer fans plus a metal shell are not worth the price. Not recommended for purchase.
