RedOne Aqua Hair Wax Red

I buy this over and over. I use this on my myself and 3 children with different hair types, from the 3 year old up to the 11 year old. We have hair types 4A, 4B and 4B/C and I love it for us all. This gel is great and has no flaking and I love how it makes the hair look healthy and shiny. It is thick in consistency, which I find helps with styling our hair. The gel holds all day and is great for the smoothing of everyday hairstyles (a bun, children's hair in a few sections etc). I also use it when doing protective hairstyles such as, cornrows, twists or small plaits and it makes the styles last a lot longer and look neater. Also great for getting a more defined parting. I use it after the LOC method (water, oil, cream) and it works perfectly. I often use it to help everyday hairstyles last a little longer by brushing a day or two old style, smoothing down the hair with gel after the LOC method. I have tried it after just water and it doesn't hold as well. I do find that it gets a bit hard to smooth out onto larger sections of hair like a bun for example, once I've had it for a little while but it's not a problem for protective styles so I'm always able to use it all. I'm not a fan of strong smelling hair products but this does smell lovely. It has strong strawberry smell when applying but I don't notice it at all once I've done the hair. My 3 year old absolutely loves this and it always trying to take some. She did once ask if she could eat it (due to the smell) when she was 2 years old so make sure to advise any little ones that although it smells like sweets, its not! Good value for money for what it does and how much it helps to save my time by creating neater styles that last longer.

It does hold very well and doesn't leave residue or flakiness and it leaves a good shine to the hair

Good for locks

Smells amazing, holds all day. A little more glossy than preferred but not ott.

When I use it on my edges it laps well but then doesn't last. It goes off almost immediately like I never used it. I have a type c texturised hair. Doesnt hold as it should. Sadly I would not recommend it.
