finds a good home on modern sites
cuts smooth, straight, and has a nice solid feel to it. A full host of tungsten tips flies right through all manner of thermal blocks, from those sad excuses of building material things what break like dried eggshells to the only slightly less cack 7 newton thermals, virtually eliminating waste and stress-fueled thrown hammers. It also tackles trenchblocks with no blunting or impairment of performance, though I do advise sticking to your hammer & bolster for cutting those instead of this saw because a) its still faster to do it with hammer and bolster and b) your arm WILL be hanging off by the fifth block. If you need a small cut or if your labourer has found too much time to pick his nose recently, then this is ideal in those situations. A quality piece of kit made from quality materials that will outlive you, and when you spend this much on a saw, it better bloody had do as well.. just dont leave it lying around. Draper delivers very nicely on this one.

Excellent saw for cutting lightweight thermal blocks and mortar joints
Excellent saw for cutting lightweight thermal blocks and mortar joints ,everything else use your hammer and bolster.would buy this item again but before use apply tape to handle, as when using everyday the varnish protecting the handle soon wears off which causes the handle to dry out and crack. This is a common problem with all block saws unless handle is made of plywood or plastic.I use the saw 5 days a week and this one lasted 18 months. Have noticed the posts about the fake block saws ,mine was an authentic draper saw when it arrived , i have come across the fake ones too though on ebay and they were selling at Β£25 a go , not as good as draper ones but still a decent saw.
