Is this product cruelty free ?

Absolutely! At SunState Laboratories (makers of DAZZ), we do not perform animal testing of any kind...period! Human testing... well maybe. Bob in accounting will eat just about anything, so we may or may not have slipped him a tablet it or two. He seems to be perfectly fine, so it's all good.

What are these cleaning tablet packaged in?

Our current packaging is recyclable plastic film. Being effervescent tablets, they must be packaged in an air tight, moisture proof material. We are investigating some of the new compostable PLA (corn derived) material that offers many of the same protective properties of plastic. Unfortunately, we've discovered that PLA must be commercially composted in order to properly degrade. With less than 3% of the US population living in areas with municipal composting, 97-99% of this new material ends up in landfills where it decomposes at the same rate as traditional plastic. Even worse, as it anaerobically breaks down, it may release methane, a green house gas 30x more potent than carbon dioxide. So while these new compostable materials appear to be more environmentally responsible, they may actually be worse. We are committed to environmentally responsible manufacturing, and will continue monitoring new developments in green packaging.

I need a fragrance free product. Is the all purpose cleaner smelly?

Great question! Our All-Purpose Cleaner does have a light spring bouquet scent, so unfortunately it is not fragrance free. We are, however, planning on releasing a completely fragrance-free line of products in the near future.

Is this cleaner phthalate free?

Yes - All DAZZ products are phthalate free.
