Visible signs in 4 weeks!
I’m pretty sure my results aren’t the norm, but I have many growing spots after only 4 weeks. Many spots! I added this bottle as soon as I was past the initial cycle of the tank. My diatom bloom isn’t even over and I noticed that some spots weren’t rubbing off the glass… As I gave the spots a closer look, there were a lot of them all over the glass. Sure enough, they’re the good stuff… and they’re growing. I’ll be breaking out the razor blade to remove them from the front glass very soon. I will note this: I have kept my parameters very constant and stable since day one, via water changes. Alk @ 8 dkh, Ca @ 350, Mag @ 1050, pH @ 8.2, salinity @ 1.024. I don’t keep my parameters on point for the coralline, but rather it’s just an easy and good practice. Super easy with just weekly 10% water changes for a new tank. But like the instructions say…. You gotta have stability for coralline to thrive, just like with corals. I’d almost be willing to bet that all of the negative reviews are due to the owner not keeping healthy and stable parameters. It’s not a miracle bottle after all, just the spores you need from multiple strains. Treat it right, it’ll grow. PS. No other form of coralline has been introduced to my tank. I used completely dry rock, all new equipment, and I haven’t even introduced a cleaning crew yet, so no snails or hermits bringing it in. I’m pretty sure it didn’t hitchhike in on the pair of clownfish! 😂 This is the whole reason I purchased it to start with… because it was going to be the only way to introduce it for a while, plus I wanted pink!

Don’t hesitate, this stuff is great!
This is the second bottle I have purchased, one through amazon and the other directly through the business. I’m new to saltwater tanks so my review is from the perspective of relatively little experience but I knew I wanted my rock to have some color! First, the order of purple came fast as I was worried about the product in the mail. It also came with easy to understand instructions so no issue there. A good shake and I put it in my tank and waited. For me, it took about 3 weeks before I first noticed some color appear. From there, it spread as good as I could have hoped. Several weeks later, it looks amazing so I figured I would try the pink next. I haven’t seen a lot of pink on rocks so I really wanted to give it a try. Overall, finding corralline was difficult for me since I’m so new to the hobby. This product is exactly what I was hoping for and the shipping was fast. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to add a little color and enhance your tank.

*It works*
It works for sure. I added it around a month ago, and I'm starting to see some growth on my glass. Be patient and ensure your tank is stable; it will grow.

Live coralline algae
I have purchased 3 bottles of this over the past 2 years both pink and purple. The first two I purchased i never saw any results. The third bottle I purchased I saw results within 6 weeks of adding to my tank. It started on the bottom of tank (bare bottom) and the plastic of a submersible pump. It literally grows like mushrooms, one day nothing, the next there’s 15 spots of it out of nowhere. I’d like to add I have never had luck growing coralline with led lights, specifically the AI prime HD. When I had t5s coralline was a literal nuisance but when I got a different tank and switched to the LEDs never had any. So of course when you don’t have something now you want it. I decided I was going to move my tank right in front of a floor to ceiling Southwest exposed window and downgrade to cheap led lights and let the sun do most of the work. Now this location is perfect because a tree outside in summer provides dappled shade so the tank won’t overheat put provides extremely bright light in winter when the sun is lower and weaker. This is a Euphyllia only tank (and a few zoas and green star polyps that I thought I removed but guess not good enough)🤣. Amazing growth and I finally have my coralline back although I may soon regret that when I’m scraping it off the glass every week. So I’m only giving it 4 stars because how do I really know the coralline came from this bottle? I really don’t. I have a snail that has it on it and he has been in the tank since set up in its new location 5 months ago. That being said I did add this 6 weeks ago and the coralline showed up within the time frame specified on the bottle. I personally do believe it was the bottle but have no way of proving it. I’d also like to add my tank was going for near 4 months before I added the bottle, my dry rock has been in constant use for over 3 years with corals already on it. Also had low nitrate levels (<5) and the proper Mg,alk, and calcium levels needed to grow coralline. I don’t think it’s wise to add the bottle to a newly set up tank where parameters are fluctuating and the tank hasn’t gone through all it’s ugly algae and cyanobacteria stages, probably just be wasting your money.

Disappointed in Algae Growth
I followed the directions carefully and had high hopes for this product. I did notice a little pink early on, which I thought was coralline algae starting to grow, but after six months, there’s been no real progress. Not sure what went wrong, but it just didn’t seem to take in my tank. The idea is great, and maybe it works better in different times of the year (I purchased in January).

DONT BUY THIS!!!!!!!
I use the product as directed and after 9 months still no coralline algae. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what but it did not work for me at all. All my water parameters are right, checked by me and my lfs. And still nothing. After speaking with the company about a refund they sent me another bottle after I have taken my tank down, DONT BUT THIS
