As a matter of fact I used it in my clutch on a manual Corolla, and it actually helped quite a bit.

I’m not certain what types of rubber. I just know it worked on a transmission seal that was pouring out in a stream. Multiple rear main and power steering systems. Been using this product since 2001. Don’t use in braking system!!
