This scale, if it worked, would be a good scale. Unfortunately, about a week after I got it, it stopped measuring anything other than weight and BMI. I tried taking the batteries out and put back in and it would work for a day, but after a few days of having to take the batteries out and put back in again every day before using it, even that has stopped working as well. I have tried new batteries to no avail. This scale is now, a very expensive scale that only tells me my weight and BMI. I get the same thing from my older, much less expensive scale. Don't waste your time or money on this. It's a dud.

I like Etekcity, so I stuck with the scale, even though I wasn't really impressed with it at first. It IS finicky. You have to stay on it after it says SEE YOU to get all the extra measurements - it will come on again. BUT, it doesn't always do it--at least not for me. I'm still working with it. I keep a cloth handy to keep it dusted. I make sure I cover the circles with my heels & toes. My heels tend to be tough, so I moisturize them at night. I'm not sure if that helps or not, but I thought maybe they were too tough at first for the "pulse" to get through. Anyway, it seems to be getting a little more consistent about it now. It would be helpful if the directions told you that you needed to stay on the scale to get all of the extra measurements, though.

I purchased this scale to upgrade our bathroom scale and help my wife and I on our weight loss journey. It is simple and easy to use, lightweight, and does not take up much space. The app syncs automatically and makes it easier to track progress over time instead of focusing on one weigh in. Getting on the scale can still be discouraging at times, but seeing trends over days and weeks helps us understand what is working and where improvements can be made. We also like that it tracks BMI and other health metrics that a typical scale does not. Overall, this has been a helpful and motivating tool for both of us.

Seems likely accurate but may have some issue(s). I think it said that I lost a few pounds of muscle in a short fast (think I actually just ate less from not feeling well so not entirely a fast) when my weight dropped a few pounds but I think and know from my research that it would have been water and glycogen losses not pounds of muscle. The pounds of muscle immediately came back when my water weight returned a few days later and my body fat jumped a little bit, not sure about the bf increase, positive about not losing and then gaining pounds of muscles in days as that doesn’t make any sense. Body fat drops before a lot of muscle atrophy to my knowledge. I think it’s good overall though, it did tell me my protein was low on the only time I used it and that was a possibility so it’s doing some stuff right. Think it may confuse water losses with weight loss but maybe water loss comes out of the muscles and it was very accurate?

I really like this scale. It was easy to use right out of the box and the numbers were large for older eyes.
